Has anybody bought these online succesfully? I don't want to send money somewhere that I won't get my items. Is brassknuckles.com credible?

There's a lot of gang activity where I live, and I'd like to be ready to at least bust a skull and get away from the situation if I have to.

I wouldn't walk around with brass knuckles.. My friend got caught with them and was charged with possesion of an illegal weapon and went to jail :p.

I would think mace or pepper spray would be your best defense in a situation as such. Brass knuckles arent going to save you from a large number of people attacking you. Sure, you may land one or two nice hits, but after that, your done.

You know what works really well... I don't know why I know this but if you hold a combination lock in your hand putting the lock loop over your middle finger and locking it and holding the combination part securely in hand. If for some reason you really think you need brass knuckles, a combination lock is far less suspicious.

Either that or just use a baseball bat. I mean...either way, you get the job done.

Yes, I do. I don't think it's going to solve a gang problem, but I'd like to be prepared for a situation where I'd find myself against 1-2 guys, so I can at least get away or buy myself some time.

Well you cant carry a baseball bat around or in your pocket very easily... I agree though the idea that someone needs to carry something like this around as a daily habit is foolish.

Again, mace and pepper spray should be what you consider. Get hit with that in the face or even near the face and your assaliants are going to be incapacitated. If you swing and miss with brass knuckles, or just dont land a good hit, you are done and you are going to be served up a beat down with your own brass knuckles that you paid money for.

I don't want to have to carry around knuckles, but the scene I'm in is sketchy enough that minding your own business isn't enough.

Like MX2 has been saying. Pepper spray/mace is much more effective. Granted, you can't show off to your friends your "uber weaponz", but at least it wouldn't make you an idiot.

A roll of quarters in the hand should be enough, and it is legal to have. I also like the lock idea.

How old are you? Have thought about moving?

Mace might be the way to go. I'm 23, just moved here.
