brake pads .....

I need new front brake pads.

Prices are $25-$90 for the front pads.

This is for my truck, so performance is something I care less about.

What should I be looking for though? I can choose from semi-metallic and ceramic.

I can buy the following models:

Duralast Gold Cmax $60
Duralast Gold $42
Duralast (cheapest model) $27
Pfc-Carbon-Metalic $70

Any advice?

UPDATE:
I got my brakes in the mail today. The box was damaged.

I got the Duralast Gold. Since the box was damaged, I have to ask a fairly silly question. Are the shims integrated onto the main piece of each pad? I have 4 brake pads total and no additional parts. The picture on autozones web site makes it look like they are integrated.

I inspected the actual pads and everything looks OK.

Thanks for the help!

The Duralast Gold are probable the best all round.

Ceramic are ok but will fade under heavy loads and/or hgih temps.
The regular Duralast are ok but the gold are much better if you plan on keeping the truck a while longer and/or using it to tow/carry stuff.
The PFC carbin pads are good for really heavy loads/high speed driving but can leave the pedal soft when cold and/or light braking.

So I have used the gold pads a lot due to being a good all round pad.

The ones for the rear of my Corvette were loose. So they just kinda snapped on. Each car is different. So just snap them on the thats it.
