So its my understanding that some random dude is advocating for tens of thousands of cyclists to just "tuck and roll" rather than rely on their helmets unless they are doing "extreme" sports like riding downhill or above 10 mph?
Not random. He's got experience and has never needed a helmet. 'nuf said.:colbert:

No, I'm telling people that styrofoam hats are dubious or marginal protection at best. Just like the experts are fucking saying. I'm agreeing with the neuro surgeons and bicycle safety groups that state the same fucking thing. That to "rely" on those little hats is stupid, pointless, and may even introduce higher risks of injury. That there are better ways to avoid injury all together.

But if you like to continue to think your styrofoam hat is doing something magical to make you super safe and will save your life someday, more power to you.
