Brag Post: I have no one else to brag to without feeling awkward!

Lowered Carb intake, lots of dietary fiber and protein. Extensive cardio. Oh and I'm going thru a divorce... so that prolly helped the most.

I actually only dropped like 6-7lbs in those days. I just started hard with my bike and 20LB dumbbells.

7 lbs in 2 weeks? I can see the difference visually, but 3.5 lbs/week isn't a healthy rate of weight loss. You're bound to start losing muscle if you continue to try to cut weight that fast. I say "try" to cut because it's also possible your metabolism will simply slow down to compensate for your drastic reduction in calories/increase in activity.

I've lost 7lbs in one night implementing a low carbohydrate diet. However, it was all water weight and the OP's obviously was not.

I do agree with Special K. If you plan on continuing to lose weight, do so at a slower pace. What exactly are your goals now?

Exercise is a great outlet when you're stressed out, so if you cope with it that way you're going to be a pale adonis before the year is over!

Define lower carbs and lots of fiber & protein, what was your diet like?

Holy lord, there is hope for me yet to drop what I've got before my cruise! 😀

Also curious as to what your diet was, before and after perhaps?

My typical daily diet was this... I just went with this because it worked for me.

Breakfast - before 8am: 1/4 cup Flax seed meal, 1/4 cup boiling water, 1/4 tbsp cinnamon, and 2tblsp Naturally More Peanut Butter. I got this from link.

I think that the breakfast I eat is the ONLY reason im able to do this... I literally love it. It fills me up and I look forward to making it in the mornings.

After that I usually just go what I consider protein. I am not a dietitian, this is just what I thought would work for me. I eat small 3oz snacks of lean no-fat no skin chicken thru out the day. I get it from Wal-Mart.... they're the rotisserie ones... I just buy them and come home and pull all the fat and skin off... and then weigh them and store 3oz portions in the fridge....

If i want to snack I eat mixed nuts. Some times I eat Tuna packed in water. I just open the can and pour balsamic vinegar and dill relish in there and eat it.

I eat no sugar what so ever. no bread, no potatoes.

I know it sounds backwoods... but it worked for me.... I can imagine that most is because of the divorce tho.

And im drunk right now... so it probably makes no sense. lol.

Dear god my diet before was whatever I wanted.... I had already dropped 15lbs before the "before image"... I was a guy that works from home that didn't exercise or eat right...

Good night, sweet Irene! That is very impressive for just 2 weeks. But, like others have said, you want to slow it down so you're not losing too much muscle mass. Mega-Kudos, though!

Well, to tell you the truth i feel like im maintaining or actually growing mass... I have never "Felt" this big... but then again it could just be the fat was hiding everything.

Yep, that is quite the case. Careful not to lose the muscle like others have said. The low-carbing dropped a lot of water off of you, but now make sure to lose no more than 1-1.5lbs/week since if you lose more, it will almost certainly be muscle (like others have said).

Update Pic. not to sure if anything changed. I went on a carb binge over the weekend and drank beer like a mad man. Just now feel like im burning through all those carbs lol.

Looks like you're making some good progress. Keep lifting. An occasional cheat day won't wreck what you've done.

You're almost out of toilet paper.

Damn, two weeks? That's not bad at all. I just might have to give that a try. I'd say I'm hovering in between your before picture and your after picture right now, it'd be awesome to get to the 11-25-08 one.

I think the 11-25 one is a bit misleading... I took it right after a HARD workout... I was swollen and felt awesome.. I wish I looked like that in a relaxed state. LOL
