Newegg doesn't test anything. They supposedly check them for physical defects but they don't even do that all the time.

 
just bought the radeon 9800 retail from circuit city for $249 after $50mir, after installing it in windows it detected that it was a 9800pro...pretty sweet...w00t!!
 
Whoever posted that 50pk memorex for 4.98 deal at OM was just wasting my time, deal was dead as soon it was posted. thanks for nothing...
 
Ordered the Mini Chyang fun barebones system(AMD + Intel) from Newegg last week (10/15) canceled the AMD one (2 hours after ordering). But the charge is still on the card today (10/23). How long does it take Newegg to refund the credit?

check the clock speed on it. It has the same chipset as the pro, so the drivers might just be detecting it as a pro, even if it is still a np running at np speed. sorry to burst your bubble
 
MOAN (not the good kind)

321 Studios just rejected my rebate submission for DVD X Copy, stating that I purchased it from a "Non Rebate Retailer".

The form did not require the purchase to be made from particular stores, and their website contained no information on rebates.

I carefully followed instructions and got stiffed.

darn Bestbuy, canceled my order for MGS2 for XBOX, Kessen 2, and Onimusha 2...

First they tell me it's back ordered and then they cancel it without contacting me... what a crock.

edit: called bestbuy they canceled without notice and when I called they justs told me it's out of stock even though when I ordered it was in stock, put me on hold for over an hour and the CSR HAD me even go on the website to find the items that I ordered over 3 weeks ago... which of course wasn't there since IT was OUT OF STOCK. Gah, I can't begin to describe the idiocy of going back on the website to find an out of stock item to reorder after it was already put on backorder...

no raincheck+ no explanation+ no compensation+ no gifts = BADBUY

to add to the kicker, the charge is still on my card... 🙁
 
OMG, am I impressed. I just got my $20 Gigafast switch rebate. It arrived on time and I didn't have to jump thru hoops, make nasty phone calls, send threatning email or any other nasty stuff. I give gigafast a big thumbs up.
 
I had a problem at Circuit City and now I am out of $377.11. I am posting to MOAN but at the same time to WARN others to open the package before leaving the store if the items are high price. CC might not repackage all the time but the crooks can and it can happen to you like it did for me. Here's my Circuit City Bad Buy Experience.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Whether or not it's a pro it will show up as a pro. The only way to be sure is to check the clock speeds.

 
DAMN!!!!!!!!! I wanted to get one of those 256 Jumpdrive's but I didn't notice the rebates already expired. So I guess I'll have to go back to CC!! Unless someone can scan a copy of the receipt and send it to me for a small reward.
 
I got screwed outta 310 and some change by the crooks at NEWEGG.COM. These guys are the WORST !!!!! I PAID for a p4 3.0 and some artic silver by cc. I went to check my mail today and it said it had been delivered.

GUESS WHAT ??? yep, no cpu.

I called them and basicly got alot of garbage about a control # from those 'other people' (Grits TEETH !!!!), then saying something about I'm on my own with fedex.

That was a BIG mistake. Don't these guys think that if I PAID for something, I SHOULD GET SOMETHING BACK ???

I've filed Police reports, fedex reports, cc reports all in 2 hours.... NEWEGG.COM just doesn't wanna help me, THAT's Cra* !!!!!

I WANT MY MONEY BACK AND NEVER AGAIN DO ANY BUSINESS WITH NEWEGG.COM (No. I don't feel better, I been flat ripped off !!!!)

If you have a problem with shipping, that gets taken up with FedEx first, and THEN Newegg. Bitching to Newegg about the fact that Fedex left a package where you couldn't find it (obviously you found it intact later on rendering your argument moot) won't help anything. Did you bother calling FedEx and asking where they left it?

Oh, and it's spelled "hassle."

Go to Circuit City pay 335 dollars.

Pricematch to Best buy to lower it to 235.

Send rebate to Circuity City for 100 dollars.

End up paying 135?
