It might be a good idea to do a clean install of the client first, and make sure to launch it to download the latest patch.

has anyone in the beta had trouble with hard crashes/freezes? I was getting them about once per week and i thought it might just be my hardware, but after patch 6 my game crashes every other match. There are a bunch of people on the official forums with similar problems but there doesn't seem to be any discernible correlation as to the cause.

no, basically my video just goes blank (no monitor signal) although sound still works (even vent, I hear my friend saying "omg did you crash again"). Requires complete power down to reboot.

I don't get it either, maybe because it is trendy and everyone else is doing it. But Blizzard shouldn't be giving keys out to people who just signed up either.

No luck getting a key here either. Been a while since I've been able to get in on a Blizzard beta test it seems. The last one that I can recall was Diablo II I was quite fortunate enough to get into one of the very early closed betas. I enjoy StarCraft but playing it on a 22" screen it does not look so great.

I dunno processor wise, but people have reported being able to run max graphics at acceptable framerates on an 8800.
