Nevermind, looks like the problem was with my beta client. I downloaded one from Fileshack a long time ago and I guess it was from a different region or something. I redownloaded the client from Battle.net and I was able to log in. I traded a $30 12 month XBL card for my key, so fucking worth it.

Glad I could start a feeding frenzy for all the new keys!

This was a smart move by blizzard in order to get more people playing. I know I will be playing more now that I have somebody to play with. Played as much last night as I had the previous two weeks. All because I had somebody to play with!

Of course I was having fun kicking my brother's ass while he was still learning the game. Sweet revenge for all the times he kicked my ass in previous games. Of course he has all weekend to play while I'm out of town...
 
Something is wrong with me...

I just don't feel SC2... I mean.. I'll probably buy it, and play it a bit.. but the magic of the first one isn't there...

A friend I haven't heard from in over a year messaged me last night and asked me if I want a SC2 beta key lol. The only stipulation is that he was ranked platinum by the matchmaking system so we would be playing top tier people all the time in 2v2.

From the look of his e-mail he is a student and University of Colorado. Was asking a random accounting question to decide who got the key.

Don't know what that means. I suck, but I can get better; I was pretty good in Warcraft 3. I don't use voice chat; not that important, right? Key please.

I was number 1 in 2v2 Platinum, Division 8? and jumped from rank 1-4 for a couple of weeks. Then last night I ended up in Gold after winning against a favored team and getting 2 pts.


This ladder system is pretty fucked up.
 
lol 6 of the top 10 players in my division are Terran, 1 random, 1 Protoss, 1 Zerg. Will we have to do the placement matches again after the database resets?

Just a heads up, I'll gift the game of your choice on Steam for a SC2 beta key.

I don't have any interest in playing, but the girlfriend and the wife are going crazy about SC2 and getting tired of doing 3v3's with me in HoN because, and I quote, "You are a killstealing bastard".

Please put me out of my misery and let them play SC2 instead so I can have some goddamn peace.
 
Yeah, so far I'm not a huge fan of this ladder/league process. I was placed in gold after my prelim games and then started to lose more than I won. I let my friend play 5 games on my account which he lost and I dropped to copper. I won 18 out of 20 in copper until two nights ago when they started to match me vs gold and platinum players. Then after a win I got bumped up to silver.

Now the above all pretty much makes sense to me. However, I dont like only being able to compare myself to the 100 players in my league. In copper I dominated every person I played against and my record showed it. However, I stopped matching people in my league... What is the point then? If you dominate your league you need to move up right away, otherwise the league is meaningless and you should just be compared to everyone.
