Had braces for nearly 4 years, and prior to that had an palate expander. Ugh, terrible, terrible. And I was horrible with using the rubber bands, and very rarely ever wore the retainer. Heh, sorry mom and dad.

Yeah I had them. Had a wonderful overbite and double crossbite. That expander hurt so bad at times, and the wonderful POP and pain the roof of my mouth made when it suddenly split wider was sickening... *shudder*

Came out for the better though, my baby molars were all worn funny and pretty bad by the time they came out and my adult molars came in. Just looking at those things along was enough to convince me I needed braces, no way I wanted my good permanent teeth to get worn down like that.
