Hey, it's my first HD post ever! I got some insider info on this friends/family deal.

Go to this URL and use code EMBFX2.

[edit] To address Tu13erhead's comment below, I do have permission to post the code. [/edit]

Good deal, but per the rules:

What about COUPONS and PROMOTIONAL CODES?
You may post:
Links to coupons on the issuing vendor's own site.
Links to scans of coupons that invite you to share them with your friends.
Links to scans of other coupons, AS LONG AS they do not state that copies or reproductions are not allowed, or that the coupon is valid only for the original recipient. DO NOT post:
Coupon or promotion numbers.
Links to coupon numbers you could not post, here.
Links to scans of coupons other than those listed, above.
Requests for others to post or send you coupon numbers or offers to send them to anyone else.

If you can find something that says to share the code with friends, then it's allowed, otherwise, it's not.

Thanks for letting me clarify - I absolutely have permission to post the code. I'll edit the OP to point that out.

Would be nice if the commercial didnt show a roided out weight trainer claiming he got the body from the bowflex or so thats what they would like you to believe.

Bowflex sucks. Overpriced and will become something to lay things on in a month. Join a gym, cheaper and you get to look at hot girls, 🙂. That is the best motivation to go that extra rep. I go into the aerobics classes and its like I died and gone to heaven...shhh, dont tell my wife, LOL.

but for some people there is very little motivation to go to the gym unless you have a workout buddy, however if they have some equiptment at home, they can do it while they watch TV.

For myself, a gym membership would be a waste of money. I would never go because I would lose an hour every time I went in traveling and getting dressed. I bought a pull up frame for $100 from sports authority that gets used twice a week. Even before I used it regularly, it was fun to just do a few pull ups every time I walked by it.

The down side of buying your own equiptemnt vs going to the gym is that you find out some types of equiptment doesn't work for you until you've used it for a while. Like my elliptical machine that after 7 months of 3 mile a day runs on max resistance, I discovered it messes with my knees because of the spacing of the foot paddles. Then there is my rowing machine that I can't use because I'm too sore from doing pull ups the day before to get a good workout. Now I use a recumbent bike and have no problems.

I think that that bowflex units are great machines, but there are alternative knock-offs, Wieder has one called the cross-bar basic and it is very comparable with the bow-flex but is a fraction of the price if you buy it at store.

I was thinking about the crossbow one time until I saw it at the store...wasnt impressed, it looked cheap and the rods are nothing like the Bowflex. Ive have mine for 1 month already and use it all the time, missed one day only.

You can save some over this deal at Sports Authority right now, at least for the Home Gym model -- Sports Authority has a 15% off coupon (floating around check techb**gains). For the Home Gym -- Bowflex is $719 and Sports Authority is $679.

A membership at a local gym will benefit you much more. Freeweights= the way to go. I do a few things on cables, but mostly freeweights. Also I hope you don't think just because that guy has some size he is "roided out". Of course he doesn't use bowflex, but believe me that size is easily obtainable natural with a proper diet and hard work.

"You can watch tv while working out with the bowflex." If you are paying attention to anything but your weight lifting, you aren't reaching your full potential. So you don't want to get big, you just want to tone, still ... you need to work hard. Only time you see me watching tv is if I'm doing cardio.

"Only missed one day in a month." Overtraining is NOT your friend. 45-90 minutes MAX on weight lifting per day, after this you start burning muscle really. Training 6 days a week is for the more intense, and usually those that are on "special" programs 😀, for most people I'd recommend 4-5 days a week. Your muscles need time to repair.

To the guy that said he had trouble with rows b/c of doing pull ups the day before. Do all your back excercises in one day... your muscles need to heal, and hitting the same group 2 days in a row isn't going to help.

-No I'm not big. I'm only 5'8 200lbs with a 4 pack(winter bulk time!). Plenty of guys that make me look like mini-me. Just giving some advice.
