Interesting, as i've also become convinced that i need a different tank, or "clearomizer," after watching rip tripper's review of the aspire bottom dual coil systems. I'm also less impressed with the ego twist's vapor production after using it outside for the first time. Sure, sitting in front of a brightly lit monitor makes it look like there's lots of vapor, but apparently it really isn't that powerful, lol. This will probably eventually end up costing us a lot.

Is it satisfying and enjoyable? That's what's important. I enjoy mine, but I've been bit by the vaping bug and simply must try a few new things.

A little more FYI for budding vapers... (snip)

Good info and thanks.

Mine is finally getting delivered today! Can't wait to try it out.

My V2 EX is due today also.

$15 for 1 day shipping. Ordered Thur. 10 PM:) I DID NOT check too see if that included Sta. delivery. It did not. My fault for not checking.

I will run out of tobacco sometime today. If the ecig is not here by 7 PM i'll go to the smoke shop...

What menthol juices do you guys reccomend? I used to be a menthol smoker but with e cig juice menthol is sometimes a hit or miss. I tend to like menthol with a taste to it.

I used some random brand from my local smoke shop and it was pretty good. But then again I wouldn't know since its the only one I've tried. I will be checking out e juice reviews myself. I don't even know if you can buy the stuff I tried, but when I get home i'll tell you the name.
Also, menthol is said to be able to melt or damage plastic tanks, as well as cinnamon and some other flavors. Keep that in mind. Glass tanks only from what I understand.

Yea the ego cc has a metal tank with a little glass area to see the liquid. I like chocolate mint menthol but for most atomizers chocolate favors are thick.

Went home for lunch and had a package awaiting! Plugged it in to charge (damn thing says to charge it for 8 hours before first use!!!), so I might mess with it when I get home. That gives it a solid 6 hours. We will see how long I can wait before jumping in.

Also, while doing some searches (AT forums were down for me for a few hours and that always leads to unproductive things at work...), I found out there is a Gwar branded and endorsed e juice!

I got in on that massdrop order that was recommended a couple pages ago. In retrospect, I would have gone with something that ships sooner...apparently they take up to two weeks to even begin the shipping process with massdrops. I'm gonna need to buy another pack of smokes while I wait. A pack usually lasts me nearly a month though. I may even keep buying them once I get this...who knows.

Just ordered myself a protank 2 mini. Along with some what they call "thug juice" from mount baker vapor. I hear from the reviews it's one of their most popular mentholy juices.

Haha yeah I tried to warn people in my posts about the shipping time, that's the crux of massdrop, great deals but you have to essentially ship it twice. Once to massdrop then again from massdrop to you.

It's excellent. It's pretty much all I vape now. Once you get it it's pretty good but once it steeps a week or so it's excellent. I prefer mine with one flavor adder, sometime two. I am currently working on DYI yourself juice as Thug Juice is available from Flavor Art as Jungle Juice, exect same flavor. Just add your own PG/VG and nic.

I've had it before but in smaller amount and different pg/vg. I added an extra shot this time and got a 30ml bottle. Man their juice prices are the cheapest. Hopefully it tastes better than in my ego cc.

Mongrel if you are considering the Vamo v5 Angelcigs has them in stock for $36.

For a few more dollars. in my opinion, the SVD is the better choice.

I liked the menu system and looks of the Vamo over the SVD but the 510 connector(top) and middle tube is just press fitted a millimeter or so into the head unit and it will not stand much pressure, such as sitting with it in your pocket, without coming apart. Don't ask how I know. I was able to salvage it but it became erratic a short time later which I attribute to my masterful soldering job using plumbers solder. :) For an at home sits on the desk or coffee table APV this may never come into play.

The SVD wins in the build quality department and the fire button changing colors to indicate battery voltage is a handy feature as well. Although I do better like the sleek appearance of the Vamo, I found the SVD looked better in person than in pictures. The telescoping nature of it also makes for easier switching between the various length 18mm series of batteries. No need to add tube sections.

Speaking of batteries, anyone getting there first PV using 18mm series batteries, I would recommend against buying the cheap generic or *fire branded bats. Although they would likely be fine on variable voltage/wattage(VV, VW) devices because they have a protection circuits built in to prevent most catastrophic failure scenarios, the IMR and most hybrid chemistry batteries would still be safer in the event of such a failure. AW IMR and Sony VTC4 and VTC5s are the batteries of choice for most vapors. By buying these better batteries now you may save some dough down the road if you decide to explore the mech mods in the future. An injury, burnt coach or car seat may be avoided as well.

The Nitecore Intellicharger two and four bay models are highly popular and inexpensive chargers.

After a week of messing around and wanting something serious couldn't help myself.

I'm inside at a CNC machine all day at work, the thing even has a USB port, so I'll probably plug the baby into the HAAS VMC and recharge it while at work even when not loading a program, he he.

Gonna Vape On as soon as it arrives.

:thumbsup::thumbsup:

not a dipper, but i smoked for 20 years, 1/2 pack at least a day, mostly closer to a pack a day. i tried patch, gum, wellbutrin, e-cigs. nothing worked.

chantix. now that worked. my doc gave me a 3 month supply. standard. you start taking it but smoke/dip regularly and set your quit date like 10-14 days after you start the pill.

last august on day 12 i was like, ok i'll quit after this pack is done. you aren't serious if you say 'ok i'll wait until my pack is done'.

didn't smoke that evening, but by afternoon the next day i bought a pack. next morning that pack was half done. i started a smoke, threw it away after half of it, had no interest in it. gave the half pack to my manager who threw them away. also, i kept taking chantix for like a few more days, that's it. never needed a refill. on some forums i see a lot of people keep taking the chantix for a decent amount of time afterwards.

how it works is that it prevents the neuroreceptors or something like that which get pleasure from nicotine and delivers that to your consciousness. by that 14th day, that last half-cig i smoked was just kinda gross.

that was it i was done.

i knew in my heart that if i had a severe or major life event, that would be a trigger to get me to grab a smoke again. well early this year i had a really bad breakup with the person i finally thought was the one. i'm 39, been in love a few times so by now i know what i want. so it was devastating. and yep, started smoking again.

i'm back stronger now so started taking the chantix almost 2 weeks ago, so my new quit date is in a couple days. i think it will work again.

what's funny is that i was maybe 5-7 lbs overweight but quitting smoking actually helped me lose weight. every morning i would look forward to that iced coffee to go with my smokes while driving to work. and usually a 2nd iced coffee in the afternoon. since i had associated cigs and coffee so much so together - without the smokes, just never bought coffee again. i got my coffee with 2 sugars and milk, getting rid of those empty calories had me lose weight. lost 7-8 lbs and was back at perfect weight.

you can use it for dipping as well in case e-cigs don't work out.

I almost went there myself as I'm a pretty heavy smoker for 40 years, but I think this will work.

Still almost bought a 134.

I had a doctor recommend me not to use Chantix when it first came out believe it or not, due to some side effects.

Got me.

the side effects are reported to be mental. crazy dreams and psychotic actions.

i had none of those side effects. i am bi-polar so i do take a medium dose level mood stabilizer and a low dose anti-depressant, maybe that helped i dunno.

but chantix as per my post above yours, worked very very well.

Oh wow didn't even know about the evic supreme. What's the difference since the battery looks similar to mine? Nice setup you should be good. Build quality of the evic is nice.

The videos probably explain it better than I on the site, as I'm new to this and don't even have one yet.

I think they dropped the Samsung one and replaced it with a Sony green version that is supposed to work better.

That and it's all stainless too now with replaceable parts up top.

biggest advantage for the evic is it can charge the battery with just usb. No need for an external charger. Also the variable wattage up to 30w with a nice interface screen is pretty sweet.

I think he has the original, so knows more than I about this stuff.

Was asking about the difference between the two, but yeah, why I stuck the links up.

:)
