I didn't even think about that. I forgot that it was actually there. I think I've been in there once or twice :)

Sorry and thanks..

No need to be sorry. I was being slightly sarcastic! :)

It's a beautiful ride and I would take pride and show it here too! :D

(I almost bought a MB E class a few years ago but decided that I wanted the money to sit and grow in the market for retirement. Now that I've lost well over 50% of my money

I hear ya brother.

and my job is in the "prevevial shitter"

I read about that in another thread. Hope things turn around for you in that respect!

I wish I would have gone ahead and done it. I'll never have the chance again. :( )

That's basically my philosophy on things. I want to live for now but still have preparations for later. It's all in finding that balance.

I understand in finding balance...but if I had bought it, I would have a MB to show for the years of overtime that I saved. Now I have empty balance sheets....and nothing but memories. I think you have a beautiful car and I hope you really enjoy it! :)

I don't think there is a GLK320 BlueTEC. I do know there is an ML320 though, but that wasn't the model we were wanting. From what I understand, there's no intention of bringing the GLK320 over to the US.

Not the Q5, though we did try the Q7. The wife wasn't a fan of the Q styling, so that put a stop to that.

I love Audi, though the Q7 felt a little.... bulbous, in comparison. I'm sure the Q5 is a fine option though.

Honestly, I would have loved the RDX but the ride quality just wasn't there. Otherwise, I think that's a great little SUV for the money.

How you think this looks like this is beyond me. I don't particularly care if it looks like a Kia, but it looks nothing like that Suzuki. You might as well say it looks like every other mid-size SUV on the market since they all have a very similar body style.

To each their own though.

You're kidding right? It looks like a carbon copy. Swap the emblems and save $30,000.

I'm not hip enough to ATOT anymore to know if you're trolling or not.

Either way, I don't see the resemblance at all, but I have no qualms about a Suzuki comparison.

I'm sure you also realize that even if they had identical exteriors there's a lot more that goes into both respective vehicles, but I'm not going to belabor the point.

damn I've never seen either before today, I think with some slight modifications one could buy the Suzuki and pass it off as the Benz.

*looks at both pics side by side again*

I know it's not, but I'd say it's the same chassy if I didn't know better.

Hot damn, nice picture. I like the styling of the G500, but way too much $$ in my view.

The ML has a soccer mom quality for sure, but the GL and GLK are different vehicles entirely. The GLK is too small to be appropriate for soccer moms ;) I do however have the dog to round out the suburbanite cliche. I'm a caricature of my former self, but what the hell...

Have fun :)

Did you get a good deal? Car makers are basically giving cars away these days.

Pretty good deal, yes. I got just about 2 grand over invoice and a 1.9% financing deal. The financing is really what finalized the deal in my mind.

Acura is giving away the MDX and RDX right now. I think they had $6k off when we were looking, and at the time it was 3.9% financing; that's still not bad.

We also got some discounts on some of the options, including the ipod integration and some aesthetic additions like the 20" wheels (smooth ride even at 20"), roof racks, etc.

No doubt. Borrowing the C chassis likely helped them quite a bit, but I was still pleased with the pricing. I don't like the fact that to get it to the same configuration of its competition you have to add almost another $10k to the price, but it's still surprising even at that point.
