Been looking for a hatchback for a while. Mazda 6 5-door was nice, but too much $$$. VW Golf was nice as well, but quality issues were the kiss of death for that car. Stumbled upon the TC about a month ago and got real excited. Seemed to fit the bill for what I wanted!
Scion dealerships are pretty rare around here, so I had to drive about to hour to get to one. Test drove an auto and a stick, and decided to go stick. The first dealership told me that my order would take a month, but my 92 honda civic with 165K miles started to take a major dump, so I found another dealer who just happened to have the color I wanted...Indigo Ink.
Picked it up yesterday. Fantastic car. The motor is great. Pulls great in every gear, and the powerband is very usable. Gas mileage looks to only be so-so at ~28 mixed, but I'm ok with it.
15.9K+500 dest.+TTL =17900. Only option was floor mats for 150.
I LOVE IT!
Only one in the area so far. A few niggling quality issues including oscillating air vents when the AC is on full blast, but I'll have that fixed when I get 2 small scratches buffed out that I didn't see until I was leaving the lot.
