I was boat people, I now own boats. Look at all the beautiful women around me, you too can be like me, come to my seminars.

That will come in handy when global warming sets in. You'll be laughing at all the suckers who didn't plan ahead!

Waterworld?

Good luck with that on a 22' powerboat...unless it is being launched out of the hull of a Supertanker.

Wow how awesome is it to have your own boat. Congrats. But get your kids some nintendo DS cause they will get bored after a while.

I don't get how you're going to live on a 22' boat for 2 months with four people. Seems a little cramped to me. Will you be camping on shore, or staying in hotels or something?

Yeah, I lived comfortably on a 38' sailboat and a 43' sailboat with 4-5 people for days at a time but an open boat like that? For 2 months? I'm guessing you'll be camping on solid ground with access to modern facilities...call it a hunch.

Those kids are going to be bored out of their f-ing minds.

Yet another one of your useless posts. Boat trips are awesome. You think they spend all that time out on the water? No. Stop in along the islands, camp out, hit the cities along the way for unique foods, etc. Don't forget the awesome scenery you see out on the water you'd never get to experience being land locked.

They spend a lot of that time out on the damn water if they are going thousands of miles.

They're not rowing.

I'm not sure how your own experience applies to anything out there.

You bought new? 😕

There are a ton of good used boats around the country you could buy for probably half the cost of a new boat.

If no one buys new boats there are no used boats.

Stop posting, pleeeease.

Bwahahaha - I love the pointless bickering going on in this thread. It's like we're all on a boat called Earth and we're already tired of being cooped up here.

OP - grats on the boat. Just don't be a boattard. 🙂

My friend's dad has a boat that I'm welcome to go on almost any time, but I've never been outside of some bays that border along the Gulf of Mexico around Galveston. I would LOVE to have something that could sail the world... although something about being above 5k feet of water just... bothers me. 🙂
