It's been documented and reoccuring since 2008. That sounds chronic to me. I believe you are a nurse. When people of an advanced age develop a chronic cough, what could it indicate?

I've posted it before, but I guess I will post it again. She has been diagnosed with hypothyroidism. Among other things, one symptom dryness/hoarseness. Add in the constant speeches, guess what she might be prone to? I know, it is crazy that her symptoms match her diagnosis.

I don't either, and the only reason I caught it was because it was trending on Twitter, and then saw the videos. Give them a listen. The vast right wing conspiracy didn't climb into her throat, and that cough sounds a lot more hoarse or intense from public speaking as the cause alone

Thank you for your help. Lord knows I've tried to explain how nonsensical all these attempts at diagnosing someone without knowledge of the person's prior medical history, current med. regime, or an in-person exam.

Of course hypothyroidism can leave one with a dry mouth/throat. And this is probably the main contributor of her cough. Then, couple that with a potential of a med she takes also exacerbating it, and with all the flying she does (the air in planes tends to be much drier than normal), it's not surprising she has a semi-chronic cough. To speculate further is irresponsible at best.

But all the medical experts here and on youtube, with all their non-existent medial training, seem to forget a lesson I learned decades ago, summed up best by a well worn and known question:

Bet the answer is horses, not zebras, with means when presented with a medical situation, you look for the simplest answer, not the most esoteric, far fetched explanation. But that's exactly the trap med. students, nursing students, PA students, etc., all fall into....looking for the most serious cause of something when usually the cause is something rather plain, simple, and benign. Of course, if you have an agenda to push, looking for the zebra instead of the horse makes sense, I guess.

At no time did I claim she was unfit to run for office or that she is hiding something about her health. I did say this coughing fit sounded worse than previous ones, and speculated it sounds a lot worse than the allergies her surrogates are claiming.
