Bored...

Maybe it's just a product of getting old (I'm 27... started gaming with the first Nintendo), but anymore it takes a very special game to hold my interest. I still enjoy Counter-Strike more than anything else (yes, I can admit it), but I also really like UT2004. Other than that, I really don't play games anymore. Almost everything I buy lets me down, so I've all but given up. My Xbox is a slightly different story, but only in terms of titles that aren't suited for the PC. I love my sports games, but other than that, I don't buy much anymore. I don't know if gameplay has deterioriated over the years, if my tastes have just changed, or I'm just losing interest in gaming altogether. I can't tell. I like games that I can pick up right off the bat and enjoy, but can master the intricacies if I so choose. Games that take a week just to get a basic understanding of really don't interest me... nor do I feel like living my life in a virtual world (WoW for example).

Bah... I'm just babbling.

I'll tell ya what I'm REALLY into right now, and that's competitive R/C racing (check out www.teamassociated.com or www.teamlosi.com to see what I'm talking about).

'd recommend going back to your roots. DL a copy of DosBox (http://dosbox.sourceforge.net) and grab some old dos games and go to town. I was amazed at how much fun it was to play through all me old favs...good memories

I still play CS Although, I must admit the new version looks great but does not have the same feel as the older versions. I had a bit of a break between 2001 and 2004 and it shows in my K2D ratios...

Well, I couldn't find SC:CT here, I'll search more, KOTOR for some reason crashes a minute into the game, always in the same place. CS:S is fun. About older games, I finished the whole Monkey island games, 3/4 Larry games, full throttle, The Dig, started Sam and Max but got bored (it was funny though), Day of the tentacle, Dave 1 (hated 2 and 3), some Keens, couple of king quest/space quest/police quest, The Longest journey , got stuck in Grim Fandango and quit and some old SNES games (lttp,CT,SMW,SMW2, some more that I don't remember).

So, those are the old games that I finished that I remember. So if you have more games (old and new, new is better) I'd be happy to hear suggestions.

Oh, I'll get the new GTA sometime this week when I'll have time.

I've got battlefront installe, its not that good... Really, I only like SC from all the Tom Clansey(sp) or whatever his name is.

don't play KOTOR2 till you've played the first. I mean you COULD play the second and understand 70% of it (I say 70 because even if you play both you'll onyl get 85% of it since it feels at the end the last 15% is totally missing) if you haven't played the first...but things will make a lot more sense if you do the first, especially since they are directly connected
