Pricing in my neighborhood is realistic, if not totally accurate.

Seems like the prices for the property I checked is extremely high.... too high I think... I wish it were true.

Texas residents can skip this site - Home sale prices are not public information in Texas.

That makes no sense.

My neighbor has the same house as my parents and their property is worth $100,000 more.

Yeah, OK.

Wow. I think it's off by a factor of 10 for all of Salt Lake City. It claims my home at about 2.7 million, which would be nice if it were true, but just a tad off.

It's probably pretty close on my parent's house. It says the house it worth $857k, and it could probably sell in the $800-900 range.

not exactly the same, but I like http://www.domainia.com ... you can tell exactly how much your neighbor paid for their house... or how much your house was bought for before you.

I have no confidence in thier estimates.

It shows my old house on the far NW side of Chicago at around $450k. Comparatively, my parent's house, in a better neighborhood about a mile east of my old house, is rated at $10k less than mine.

It's in a better neighborhood
It has at least 30% more square footage
It has 3 bedrooms, vs. 2
It's on a much larger lot

WTF?

Its pretty accurate for me here in Orlando Fl.
A house 3 doors down from me(same SQ) sold for $219K in Dec.
It say mine is $227K.

except that place is 10 times harder to use.
did you register ? If not, maybe that's why. What's harder about putting in your home address and running a search ?

I've tried 3 times in the last hour and I still can't get zillow.com to produce results for me.

I finally got results after trying for 3 days. It shows my house as last being sold in 1994. Yeah, we bought it in 2002. Great help.

EDIT>> I also looked at my parents' house... 1 story tall ? WTF ? It's been 2 since 1950. Mine too... incorrect info. This site is worthless.

Wow lots of negative feedback about this site. I did several properties including my own. It gave the exact month/year we bought it and gave the exact month/year we sold the previous. It gave exact numbers for what was sold and purchased. The estimates for our current house were about 1,000 more than our professional estimate from 3 months ago, which seems reasonable. The homes in surrounding area are believable as well and its nice seeing how much they sold for.
Oh and wtf is up with Bill Gate's house? 117M? 115M> than any other house in the area. That's awesome.

is that what is says in public records for your home? I found it to be fairly accurate for the NYC area. I am comparing prices against their tax assessed value
