I recently burned out the AGP slot of my motherboard and recieved a replacement. When I re-built my system, I got the horrifying error:
DISK BOOT FAILURE, INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER
After being told that XP must be re-installed if the mobo is changed, even to an identical motherboard, I bought an identical HD and have been trying to install Windows on it. Unfortunately, the same error comes up and I'm not sure what to do anymore. I have removed the old drive in an attempt to do a clean, unadulterated install, but that has not worked.
Motherboard - Lanparty NFII Ultra B
Processor - AMD Athlon XP 2500+ 1.83 ghz
RAM - 1024 mb DDR 400 Geil Super Saver RAM
HD - Maxtor Diamondmax 9 160 gig SATA HD
