Did you read the first book? It's excellent. I haven't picked up Kittens yet.

Nope, sure haven't, but he references it in the beginning of this book. I might pick up and read that one as well.

by FAR the best fantasy series i have EVER read. this is my 3rd time through

Is Gardens of the Moon the title of one of the books in the series, or the name of the series itself?

I love Patriot Games. So much better than the movie. I have 1984 in my stack waiting to be read as well, not sure when I will get around to it. They had us read Brave New World in high school, rather than 1984.

I love this series. I have the whole set, except for the last one, #25.

Heh.. I read that entire series something like 15-20 years ago..:D I'm not sure what happened to him, but I haven't seen a new book in the series for a long, long time. I'd sort of like to know how the current plotline turns out..

Currently I'm reading Heinlein's The Number of the Beast, a book that I return to every now and then.

Developing and Implementing Windows-Based Applications with Visual Basic.NET and Visual Studio.NET
by Mike Gunderloy

Yeah, I know, sound real interesting doesn't it.
Actually, I'm also currently reading Fellowship of the Ring with my 8yr old son and 5 yr old daughter.
He just finished the latest Harry Potter by himself, but I haven't read it yet.

Finished reading H.G. Wells' The War of the Worlds, and am now most of the way through Firestar, by Michael Flynn. An excellent hard SF book about the near future, and the steps mankind may have to take to establish a permanent presence in space. It is the first of a series, the others in the series are:

Rogue Star

Lodestar

Falling Stars

I initially picked up Firestar and Lodestar at Gulliver's Books when I went nuts at their 50% off used books sale for Labour Day, and realized after I got home that they were first and third in a series and not stand-alone novels. I went back over the weekend and bought a couple of dozen more books, and managed to get the second one in the series as well. I will probably get the fourth off of Half.Com, and hopefully it will arrive by the time I finish the third book. :)
