We talking movie versions or book versions? Because there's a big difference between them.

Just because the movies portray them differently (one being pretty realistic, the other being fictional) does not mean that would be the situation when matched up in real life.

And yes obviously from the movies Bourne is portrayed as having GTFO combat skills, and would pwn Bond's movie combat skills.

That's not the point. Realism has never lent a hand to Bond. He's always been about his gadgets and tricks, up until the last two Bind films, which has been a spin on Bourne.

A real life MI5 op vs a CIA black op...well that's a diff story.

The only Bond who would even make it interesting would be Craig. And he still wouldn't have a chance.

Not against all four bonds at once

There's more than 4 bonds.

Connery, Moore, Niven, Timothy Whatshisface, and the new one. I forgot about Niven who would kick the crap out of Bourne, the other bonds, and Chuck Norris.

what about peter sellers in casino royale.

So that is confirmed? I remember after Bourne Ultimatum that Matt Damon said he was done with the Bourne films, something to do with having kids and such, among other things. But then I read he agreed to a fourth one sitll.

I sure hope so. Bourne movies FTMFW! If I ever get a HDTV and Bluray, that is one pack I'm definitely going to get.

Bourne > Jack Bauer > Bond > Chuck Norris

Who would win between Jack Bauer and Chuck Norris though?

Also, I heard that Damon wants to make all of the new Bourne books into movies as well.

What are you talking about?! The movies were nothing like the books. He could make three movies more about the first three books.

Has anyone actually read the newer Bourne books? I like Lustbader as an author but it still seems like sacrilege to read a non-Ludlum Bourne book.

David Niven was Bond in Casino Royale.

Edit: Oops, both were Bond in Casino Royale along with Terrence Cooper, and Woody Allen (well, Jimmy Bond anyway).

Bourne's got the move, but Bond takes a licking and keeps on ticking. If it's a fight to the death, Bourne just need to make sure he's "dead" dead - don't just toss him over the cliff and say "Goodbye Mr. Bond" cause you know he'll be back.

Well, they used the same title at least...

The first one kinda had the same basic premise anyways.

Depends. Is it hand to hand combat or is it a gun fight?

Hand to hand would have to go to Bourne. However, in a gun fight Bond can never get hit, so he automatically wins there.

so then 5.

You left out Lazenby, who is easily better than Moore + Dalton combined. Only appeared once, like Niven, but unlike Niven, is actually a Brocolli-produced Bond, therefore "official" Bond.

On her Majesty's Secret Service remains one of the best Bond films ever. The only one released after it, that is comparable in quality, would be Casino Royal.

Oh shit. You left out Brosnan as well.

6 Bonds?

Roger Moore is too pedo to be of any value to anyone. In any situation.

Also, he is the worst Bond, by far.

Bourne would win. He's younger.
Bond is a spy & Bourne is an assassin.
FWIW, Bond is an MI6 agent, not MI5 as previous poster said.

And in 22 movies he has been caught more than 22 times only to survive due to villain incompetence.

Bourne has never been caught without arranging it on purpose as a trap of his own.

Bourne is "always running away" because he's being hunted by the very governments that give Bond all his cars and gadgets.

And while we're talking about movies, the most recent Bond movies have been reworked to be more like Bourne. Less hokey gadgets, more gritty realism, Bond fucking up less and actually kicking some ass without getting caught (as much).

Considering how huge a hit Ultimatum was a the box office I wouldn't be surprised.

HOWEVER, Bourne is definitely more of a combat soldier

The whole premise to Bourne is that he is being hunted down by others supposedly just like him against all odds yet he comes out the victor time and again because he is the best. Whereas Bond is never the objective, he's always saving the world, or Bolivia's water supply...all while the bad guys let him go.
