I had a body fat % test yesterday and I got 11.5%:D

Over 3 months I hope to lower mine to about 10% if I'm lucky.

What is yours?

how old are you? 11.5 isn't really that bad - it's below average. Course the average american could stand to lose a large child off each ass alone.

Anyway 3 months? Damn you can do it faster than that. If you're 200 pounds now that's only 3 pounds over that period! I'm probably where you are now. I've lost a couple percent lately and I want to get down to around 8.5% which I was several years ago. It was a good percentage.

yeah, same here. Although it's more than 0.1%, i think you need 3-4% to function properly, IIRC.

Yup. Get below 4% or so and your immune system starts having problems, among other things.

Well thats ok i function fine. I just never can gain weight no matter what i do. And i thought it was hard to lose weight and not to gain weight hehe. Its the total opposite for me. I only weight 105 to 108 pounds. Maybe alittle less have not checked in a while. But being small has a lot of advances.

Yeah the 3-5% range is where professional body builders are at competition time - the thinnest atheletes in the world and it's not fun to maintain that or get there. You can see absolutely everything with fat that low. I'm sure nobody here has a BF that low!

Well i could easily save hundreds of dollars if not more on my food bills. Easily. I could feed the poor with a medium pizza. I can eat lets see maybe 2 pieces if i am lucky. 3 very rare.

I'm 18 and weigh 77.25kg ~ 170lbs. I do a lot of training. Weight Lift close to national level competitively. I train 3x a week.

I know 11.7% isn't bad at all. Average for a guy is 15-20% I think or thats the normal levels. I just hope to get down to 10% so I get a really ripped 8 pack.

I'm adding in 3x Gymnastics sessions a week at a club and going to stay with Weight Lifting 3x a week or drop it to two. And run 6 days a week. My diet is really good also.

The size of the average person anywhere is SCARY!

As for the rest I'd be suprised if you get a % lower then 8. Pro Body builders with a moutain of drugs get to about 7-8% for only a few days or a week for a competition show.

I've never had mine measured, but I imagine is pretty low. I'm a runner, so I'm pretty skinny.

Well i do not know how i am only 105 to 108 pounds at 18 because i am not very active. I guess thats just the way i work. Its hard for me to gain weight for sure. I really never liked food. I mean yeah i want to eat sometimes but i can never eat a whole lot.

Am i the smallest and lightest 18 year old here? I have a feeling i am. You could easily past me for 16 maybe even younger. I not sure if thats a good thing or bad thing when i get older. I think its a good thing.

I got mine done at the local Leisure centre. Most good gyms you can get it done at. They will have certain conditions for you to go back when to do it. Best to do it in the mornings, no water or food before hand. Get a true body weight and then they'll do it.

I did mine in the afternoon as a rough guide and was suppose to go in on another day to do it but the girl there offered for free so I thought might as well save some money and do it now.

6-8%. I'm a scrawny little bastard. My metabolism is also sky-high. All the girls in my school are jealous of me because I can chow down an entire pizza and a 2 liter of pepsi with gusto and not gain an ounce.

At your local health club, university gym or even your local hospital clinic are places to get the test done. They will likely do the skinfold caliper test, which is quite accurate provided the person adminstering knows what they're doing.

The other option is to purchase a Tanita scale. They are not as absolutely accurate as a test in a gym, but they are relatively accurate from day to day which allows you to accurately assess fat loss over time.
