dude, I HATE the new 3 series headlights, they looks so feminine,
it's just a very minor change but I felt it affected the entire persona of the 3 series.

I totally agree. Not to mention those homosexual little foglights and that VW like split taillights. The old one was much better and agressive looking.
 
I didn't say it looked like any specific jap car, it just looks... well completely wrong for a BMW, might work with a Toyota or something, but not a BMW.

I can't agree. The new headlights are more uplift and looks "angrier" than the old ones, if the M3s had those headlights it'd be perfect.

Yea, that wheel shifter really sucks, totally removes all the German feel. BMW had to implement that stupid iDrive, which takes away the space for the traidional shifter.

My roommate & I drove a 745iL, & we liked the i-Drive.

My bike has i-Drive too, so maybe I'm just partial to the name.

Actually I am not too sure of that. The new Audi A8 has the new 7 series beat in a recent CAR comparo between the A8, 7 Series and the refreshed S-Class Mercedes. CAR picked the A8 winner over the 7 and S class.

Well, just because it got beaten by A8 doesn't mean that the 7 isn't first-class.

It just means that it's a second-rate BMW and no match for a uber Audi A8 😀

Oh yeah, the 7 is first class, except it is SECOND !😀 😀 BMW spent too much time on the buggy i-Drive and interior like a Buick/Caddy, rather than making it sporty.

well, i also like the previous version of (E36?) the M3 with the boxy shape and all that. the new 3 series are very nice no doubt, but I like the previous for its manliness.



and A8 vs 7-series vs S-class?
no contest, S class all the way, that car DEFINEs its class and what 'prestige' means.
think about it, when I am old enough to buy a A8, 7 or S, I probably would care less about handling ability and horsepower.
A8 looks way too bland, much like a A4 injected with growth hormone. the 7-series is... to put it lightly, odd looking. and S-class is just Luxurious with a capital L.
 
Funny how people who never drove or wont ever drive the car says iDrive $ucks.
To those who tried it I apologize, to the rest LOL!

I personally like the look of the previous model better, but hey! It's still a damn nice car.
 
ya know, the more I see it, the better my opinion of it is.
As for the z4, it seems to be a evolution of the e46 look. Look at the resemblance: E46
