I understand that related with the PowerDVD 7.3 OEM version software bundled with the LG drive.
In regard to your concern, I would like to inform you that we have released a new (build: 4617) of the PowerDVD 7.3 OEM version software in which I have fixed some of the previous issues of the PowerDVD software.
To resolve your issue I suggest you to download and install the new build of the PowerDVD 7.3 OEM version software and try it.
I suggest you to follow the steps suggested below in-order to uninstall then reinstall the PowerDVD 7.3 software from the FTP link given below, to resolve your issue:
Note: Make sure that you log-in as an "Administrator". Please log-in from the Administrator account and not from an account which has administrator privileges.
A) Uninstall PowerDVD (by following steps):
1. Remove "C:\Program Files(x86)\CyberLink\PowerDVD".
2. Remove "C:\Program Files\InstallShield Installation Information\{6811CAA0-BF12-11D4-9EA1-0050BAE317E1}" folder.
Please note that this directory is a hidden directory. So, first select 'Show hidden files and folder' option from 'Folder option' and then delete that folder.
For that follow the steps:
Open 'Control Panel' --> open 'Folder Options' --> click 'View' tab --> select 'Show hidden files and folder' --> click 'OK'.
Now delete the following folder:
3. From Start Menu click on RUN command to type "regedit" and press ENTER or click on OK button then select and delete the following registry files:
(1) Remove "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\CyberLink\PowerDVD".
(2) Remove "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{6811CAA0-BF12-11D4-9EA1-0050BAE317E1}".
(3) Remove "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\InstallShield Uninstall Information\{6811CAA0-BF12-11D4-9EA1-0050BAE317E1}".
(4) Remove "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\InstallShield_{6811CAA0-BF12-11D4-9EA1-0050BAE317E1}".
B) Reset your display settings, screen area to 1024 x 768 or 1280 x 1024, color depth to 16 bit and monitor refresh rate to 60 HZ.
C) Restart your computer for the changes to take effect.
D) Reinstall PowerDVD 7.3 software.
E) Download and install PowerDVD 7.3 Upgrade version (build: 4617) to resolve the BD/HD DVD movies issue.

When you open the above link, you will find a file by the name of "LG-ODD.4617_TaRe38_DVD081016-07.exe". Double click on the "LG-ODD.4617_TaRe38_DVD081016-07.exe" file to download it and save it on your computer hard drive.
F) Restart your computer for the changes to take effect.
