Conan didn't need armour and high ac cause he killed em before they killed him
But that puts the emphasis on player skill over equipment, which of course doesnt work in MMOs cause people need loot to accumulate and you lose a huge chunk of playerbase (read revenue) when you focus player skill. And what's the point of loot if it doesn't do anything, hence AC is born (talking mutliplayer here, I know about single player rpgs). Don't get me wrong though, loot is awesome.Ya ya I know the arguement. Did you read my entire post?
You know what, there's another problem with this aside from what i've mentioned. If I played a female character and had armour that barely showed on my toon at all, i'd feel...cheated. Like when you buy a high priced "gourmet" meal and stare at the 4 carrots and 1 oz of salmon on your plate.
