thers been specualtion that they are gonna announce a new game at blizcon this year
 
I'm guessing it's D3. Doesn't Blizzard North handle all Diablo development?

But that would also make little sense since they already have a fantasy RPG (WoW) out right now. Why put out D3 to compete with it? That leads me to believe that it's something in the Starcraft universe. However, I don't believe Blizzard North handles SC? Who is working on SC: Ghost? Ack.. my head hurts.

I agree, D3 would pull people away from WoW. They're going to go for another RTS home run with SC 2. They've let that successful franchise sit for way too long.

They are working on an unannounced project. Ghost has definitely been announced, and they have said they will be making a WoW expansion already, so it's definitely a new game. They said they were considering doing something in a "whole new universe" so it may not be a sequel.

It wouldn't be like WoW. I'm just saying it's a fantasy RPG. And they already have one.
Actually, it's going to be the World of Warcraft Expansion. This is inline with Blizzard releases. Main Game, 1 year later annouce xpac.. ~2 years later launch xpac.
 
If it's not SC2 I will never buy or play another Blizzard game again, no matter how fun it is. I'm sick of waiting god damnit, it's as painful as waiting for Chinese Democracy.
 
I have a feeling "World of Diablo" may be the next big thing from Blizzard--based on essentially the same engine as WoW. StarCraft 2 will probably come later unless they've already been hard at work developing gameplay/concept etc.

Wasn't Diablo 2 supposed to be 3D, but then they compromised and made it 2D (saving the 3D stuff for WC3?)

most of the WC3 concepts/ideas came from the Warcraft Adventure game.

Note to self: Stop reading about Diablo 2, makes you want to play it again. 🙁
