i just don't see why it wouldn't be diablo III i mean, you take the team that has been working on diablo forever, who have just finished the (probably, most certainly) last patch for Diablo II, and then move them off to work on a new project...one has to assume it's Diablo sequel, or at least somehow related to Diablo (WoD sounds interesting...though there are really only good guys it seems)
 
after seeing the Hellgate: London trailer, i want to play that game so bad (melee character of course). my vote would be SC2

i think hellgate will be a diablo3 in a way... but god that trailer looks good Hellgate Trailer at E3

most of the WC3 concepts/ideas came from the Warcraft Adventure game.

SC2 is way overdue....I just hope they don't nerf the gameplay by focusing on small battles ala WC3. I'm all about the giant battles filled with galactic destroyers 🙂

Definitely won't be another MMORPG...that'd take away from from WoW too much and knowing blizzard, they are going to milk WoW as much as they can.

But I dunno if they would make Diablo 3 in the same manner as D2....I would assume (and hope) that theywould take Diablo 3 to the MMORPG level eventually...so going with my 1st point, it won't be Diablo 3.

FPS? Nah, ...I mean they already have SC: Ghost (albeit for console only).

That leaves an RTS game which of course SC was the king of all RTS games. It definitely is long over due and it would make sense to go that route. So most likely it will be SC2.

If they ever make a MMORPG for SC, I'll bet it'll be called Starcraft Universe. Even the domain name starcraftuniverse is taken.

fps but also 3rd person (at least for melee combat).. im not too keen on the first person either, that's why im hoping for a good melee system!

All of the so called "inside" information on the gaming sites points to Diablo III which is still hugely popular in the US. Sorry to all of the starcraft fans.
 
I'm hoping for SC II i dont think its going to be DIII... Maybe a Genre breaking game like WCIII, but this time with a FPS RPG mix. Like Wolf ET but better?
 
Starcraft Ghost has been planned and even been worked on for awhile. I hope a Starcraft RTS or even RPS is in the works..
 
I voted for D3, but I would play any of them as long as it had a decent SP portion. I played a little SC back in the day, I just picked up WC3 and love it (regardless of how bad I suck) and am falling back into the D2 trap again. Not good, especially with school starting up.
 
Here is what is probably going to happen: They are going to announce some game we can't wait for, and then make us wait at least 5 years for it. Just like Diablo II and WCIII. They will say it will be out 1yr from announcement then miss 15 deadlines while we all get older and older.
