Damn that movie looks INTENSE. I saw Queen of the Damned yesterday, not a great film in my opinion. i thought the best part of the WHOLE damn movie was the BladeII preview.

oh yeah

the blade DVD is one of the most incredible A/V discs out there today...beautifully mastered (so much so that the the really bad animation (like the blood drops) looks REALLY bad). heheeh

i'm pumped!

Gee, and you usually have good taste in movies. What didn't you like about either? While I'll agree they're not 5-star cinema, both are great popcorn flicks.

The Matrix - I don't like Keanu to begin with. His brain-dead antics tire on me very quickly as does his voice. The movie bored me from very start and 30 mins into it I was ready to leave, but I had already paid $5 to see it so I stayed to get my money's worth.

Blade - Don't get me started on this piece of trash. I actually FELL ASLEEP during this mofo. It's the ONLY movie that I fell asleep at while watching in the theatre (well, there was that one time that I fell asleep during the train sequence in Mission Impossible...another boring movie).

Did you try to pay attention to either of them? 😛

Blade, OTOH, was just terrible. The plot was bizarre and yes, I feel asleep during that movie too. But only because the plot sucked.

i enjoyed Matrix. I enjoyed it because it exceeded my expectations of it quite a bit. i'll never say it was one of the best films ever, and i've seen that by quite a few, but it definitely was better than any expectations i had for it, which i admit were pretty low.


but on the other hand, i also don't expect much from any of your opinions of ANY move. Your the one that criticized LOTR w/o ever reading the books or seeing the movie right?

hehehe. that is considered to be a BASELESS opinion. 🙂
 
Sheesh, it's a comic book movie. Personally, I love Blade as well as other comic book movies: Spawn, Dick Tracy, XMen, The Crow, MIB, the first Batman, Mystery Men, even Judge Dredd and Howard the Duck! And of course I can't wait for Spiderman (mostly because Sam Raimi is involved!) They're not great films, but you can totally see how they were transformed from the printed page to live action. So what if the acting is bad, the storyline is corny, etc? That's the point of most comics!

Anyways, yes, I'm excited about Blade II !
