kinda sad they revealed the husband's secret so soon.

hm.. so Red has an adversary

and still waiting for red's Asian chick to do something, anything. heck, even say something.
Red might as well said "here's a list of 6 people. pick 1 to be by my side." and govt picks the black guy.

heck, the newly introduced butler in the house has had more prominence than her and she's been around for multiple epsidoes!

Like the show or not, you gotta admit that scene where that woman that got "Scorched" (get it?) was pretty badass.

I'm genuinely surprised that they were able to show that on 8pm network television. But yes, it was pretty badass.:p

Yep, that he's her dad. That he only became a criminal as a way to get into the criminal underworld and take it apart from the middle (both seemed very obvious during the first episode). During the last it occurred to me that her boyfriend, who we already know is up to something, was also an incredibly likely plant by Raymond as well, to protect her.

I believe you are wrong on all counts.

My theories:

Red isn't Liz's father; it's too obvious. I think the twist is going to be that he was a business associate of her actual father, and he either let him die or killed him himself during a deal, and now he's watching over Liz because of guilt or some sort of promise he made.

Liz's husband is involved with the Blacklist in some way or is an actual member himself. Red knows all about him (but isn't telling Liz) and he's trying to get Liz on his side so he can use her down the line against him.

blacklist:

interesting episode. so the husband is still a mystery. that's good.

the lady assassin names Red as the person who hired her to do the hit in Boston.
makes sense. Red planted the gun. how ese would the gun be in the husbands house if she never met him?

now the people that bugged the house:
I thought they worked for the FBI since the girl Agent's boss got a copy of the ballistics report.

but now i'm not so sure...

and how did the husband find the box anyway??

I was under the impression that someone dug it up and wanted him to find it.

Or maybe he was checking on his "stash" and noticed something was missing.

Im enjoying Blacklist more and more with each episode... The reason I like it so much is that they take things that would normally be huge twists in other shows, and address them right off the bat, leaving you to think what the real twist will be about

Plus, this whole Liz husband thing intrigues me... He is OBVIOUSLY an agent of some sort, and you could tell Red was being honest when he told Liz he was the one person she could trust
I dont believe for a second Red planted the whole thing just to set him up, no way
The feeling I am getting is her husband is probably number 1 on his list or something like that... Tom is like the very definition of "keep your friends close and your enemies closer", marrying an FBI agent and all

Also that "nightmare" Liz had in the previous episode was probably some big foreshadowing, and I fully expect something like that to happen at some point

hey, the Asian chick in the Blacklist actually spoke!

she's been on the show for like 5weeks b4 her first speaking line?
its like the show's creators didn't know what to do with her.
and it looks like they still fumbling around for an idea

so red and the husband doesn't know each other.

and damn red in killing the father
I guess he couldn't take the risk of the dad spilling the beans, since he';s going to die in 6months

its meant to be a grey area, red doesnt want him to tell but saddler's character also stated he would rather it be over in "6hours" than 6 months. so its a mercy killing that also serves redmonds interests. the fact that he had saddler call the daughter and make amends is the 'death without saying goodbye' regret that he talks about with the husband/sleeper agent later. the bit after the smother is meant to show that he just killed a very close friend.

the list criminal of the week always being resolved formula aside, this is really one of the more interesting new shows of the season. the interactions are so very subtle and well done. the conversation between red and her husband was toit.[/goldmember]

I liked the concept of AoS, but god damn all the characters are boring cookie cutter types. Martial arts asian woman, buff guy who's an expert killer and only works alone, hot bio girl, socially awkward tech geek, and of course the emaculate looking hacker woman who's cocky and anti-authority.

Unless the story writing gets really good, I don't see it lasting. Which is a shame because they could have done a lot with it.

So it's like Leverage?

Red is probably the only redeeming element in this show. Everything else seems like a Fringe knockoff but without a capable cast to push it through. Keane has the personality of a brick. They managed to pull out some great guest actors (Dr. Wilson!) but they got rid of them just as quickly.

I still get the sense that Red might be Keane's real father. He killed Heywood just so the secret wouldn't get out.

after 6+ episodes, I guess the writers still didn't know what to do w/that Chinese girl and decided to write her off

yup, that cut on her hand was a 'wtf what was the point' thing.

what did Red kill anslo Garrick with?

how did the husband know there were cameras in the house?
after killing the apple eating guy, Liz drove away with Mr Kaplan.
hm.. I guess she could have called him and told him about the cameras.

This last episode had the worst case of fake driving I've ever seen. Driving along straight as an arrow while constantly turning the wheel from side to side, at one point pulling a 90 degree turn of the wheel while the car and route stays straight.

Come on people, that's fake driving 101 shit.
