Both the GF and I are writing off AoS. It just seems like the show's writers were completely uninspired and opted for cliches and that makes the show uncompelling to watch.

The way they're doing the show, it looks more and more like I was right...they're aiming for the kiddies, not the adults.

Really liked the second episode, and was right about the surprise at the end 🙂 LOL@ "We'll have to cancel the fish tank".

The AoS episode was a giant meh, it requires people to turn off their brain for it to be marginally good.

AoS has lost my interest after the first show. Blacklist is OK. Ill give it a few more episodes.

Small spoiler: when the hell did the FBI let Raymond out? Around episode 3 or is he got a personal bodyguard and now he just kind of walks around parks and things waitin to be called.

he's only valuable if the rest of his crime cohorts believe raymond is still running business as usual. they let him out and allow him to stay in hotel to maintain the cover/image, mostly because they put the tracker in his neck.

Her or Lucy Liu.

Yeah, but Lucy Liu seems to come and go, and Ming Na seems to have been around forever. Lucy Liu is probably more famous though, so maybe Ming Na is the gatekeeper. After all, there can only be a couple of active mainstream Asian actor/actresses at a time.

As for The Blacklist, I'll bet $.01 that Spader killed Keen's father.

Im waiting for some story involing Ming-na.
so far she's nothing but a slient background extra

Ah yes, thanks.

My only real problem with the show is that I figured out the main plot line during the first episode, not because I am smart but because they spelled it out for us too clearly.

that Red is the fbi chicks biological father?

i'm hoping they don't reveal the connection to the scar on her hand to the emblem on the box under the floor till much later, like next season.

it's like the polar bears on the tropical island on Lost. and the Lost #s.
once those secrets were revealed, it was 'that's it?'

i thought it was a very nice ep too.

kinda creepy seeing the tooth fairy from Manhunter still running around killing people.

Yep, that he's her dad. That he only became a criminal as a way to get into the criminal underworld and take it apart from the middle (both seemed very obvious during the first episode). During the last it occurred to me that her boyfriend, who we already know is up to something, was also an incredibly likely plant by Raymond as well, to protect her.

I finally got around to watching AoS. I feel like the show has ADD. It just moves from one action sequence to the next with glib and 7 year old level humor. I really wanted to like this show as I'm a huge fan of the marvel movies. But it's too shiney, to glib, and too silly.

I'm taking it off DVR.

Honestly the shows like BoardWalk Empire, Homeland, etc have kinda ruined tv for me. I expect more realistic language, characters, and more complex interactions and threats.

I will keep watching AoS because the budget is huge and hopefully they will do something with it.

I HATE the "babe" character though. She needs to get toned down a lot.

AoS is right in the middle of TV shows. It's better than a lot of shows, but also worse than others.

It definitely has too much "ADD" to it and it seems like those two blathering scientists always magically come up with some invention/device. I mean I get that SHIELD is supposed to be a super secretive group with the most sophisticated and latest technology, but it's like they just magically invent things to save the day. Yes I know it's just a tv show and it's all fiction, but sometimes it's a bit over the top.

So far, it feels too much like "Heroes" but with more technology and fewer actual super heroes.

I thought both AoS and BL would be bad, but BL has been good so far but AoS has been a let down as I thought.

Here's what Entertainment Weekly and the show's producer had to say about that:
"Viewers may think they have Red and Agent Keen figured out. (They're totally related, right?) But all might not be what it seems. Regardless of biology, 'there's an undeniable paternal connection,' exec producer Jon Bokenkamp teases. 'We are going to dip into that rather soon.'"
