They have been here for years AFAIK. You would hear stories about them scratching on doors of cabins when people lived here 100 years ago.

You would also have the game and fish people saying there are none. I think they just didn't want people trying to hunt them.

A few calfs each year would be found half eaten with tracks all over the ground. Game and fish came out and took molds of the prints and told us that panthers did not live anywhere near us.
My dad took severial pics of a mother and 2 cubs back in 88. He has them framed back at his house on the farm.

There is a lady that lives near Vilonia/Mt Vernon who swears she has wolves living near her.

The problem here is that she is not all that far from the animal park that closed down. Makes me wonder if a few didn't get set loose.
