why? COD2 had the regeneration bullshit. I know picking up a health pack isnt real but you atleast had to figure out how to get to the next one. Now you just take cover and heal. Dumb.

I'm just gonna put it out there: I *like* automatic health regeneration. It allows me to actually keep moving and enjoy the game, rather than hunting around for health packs every time I get shot. And no, scattering around health packs like candy is NOT any more realistic than taking cover to auto-heal.

That said, yes, Black Ops is a mediocre game. But keep in mind that the OP's video is the first damn level of the game, where the player is still learning how to play. It's forgivable. You definitely can't do this in later levels, even the second level which comes right after.

Agreed, although I think I put it much more concisely.

however the fact that you cannot tell the difference between hacking game files and running around a room shows me that either you are vehemently trying to justify your $60 impulse buy, rabidly support CoD or have some sort of innately flawed logic
You're entitled to your opinion that there is a difference, but I'm entitled to my opinion that there is not. The crucial point to me is that they are both abuses of game mechanics that make games boring. I don't feel the need to defend my opinion beyond that, or to attempt to prove my impartiality.

The only reason I'd grab it now is on a ridiculous Steam sale. I've got too many extremely good games to play...they just threw together another "me too" effort as a cash grab on all the retarded suckers out there.
I don't quite get the point of posts that estimate "worth" of a product for other people. Whether a game is worth it to you is highly subjective both because you will receive a different benefit than I will and because you face a different cost (opportunity cost of your $60). If you already have a good game that you have paid for and not played, you should obviously play it before you buy any new games and wait for the new games to come down in price. Why does that potentially make me a retarded sucker?

If running around in a circle is "abuse of game mechanics" YOUR GAME SUCKS. I can't put it anymore succinctly.

It doesn't necessarily make you a retarded sucker, but considering the pre-purchases for a game like Black Ops, there is certainly A LOT of people out there trying to justify pissing away their $60 right now.

Count me as one of those 5 then. TF2 is about the only multiplayer game I play, and I haven't hit that in about 6 months. The fact that a whole mission can be done without firing a single bullet should be embarrassing to Treyarch. The last minute was pathetic, if not hilarious. 20 enemies and not one could hit the broad side of a barn.

Again, OP thanks for saving me $60.

Yeah me too, I always play games for the single player part mainly (apart from TF2 obviously!). The multiplayer part of Black Ops is good, I think it looks very nice, but the lag spikes (not just for me but others on the servers complain too) are annoying. Single player = no lag.

Games with regenerating health can be difficult. Games with health packs can be easy. That's why they have these things called "difficulty settings."

COD4 on Veteran is very difficult despite having regenerating health. You will die dozens of times throughout the campaign. But maybe that's still too easy for you, I don't know.

While games with regenerating health can be difficult. The game has fewer variables with which to make difficult. Because of the lack of variables, it comes down to things like, if you up the difficulty, the computer just headshots you quicker. A game with more variables has more things that it can change to increase difficulty.

exactly. i dont know why this new "feature" has had so much traction. I like stalkers way of doing it. Oh you got shot? Best stop the bleeding or you die.

are you blind? the first ones are from cod2. enlarge and check them closely and tell me which ones have better detail/textures. (except the last 2 which are both from cod2)

What are you comparing? Xbox to Xbox? PC to PC? If its PC then what are the graphic settings? Too many variables.
