All the guns are reasonably balanced in MW2, I've had tons of great matches with the F2000 and that's easily the worst AR in the game in my opinion. Hell, the FAL with Holographic and Silencer and Stopping Power is still one of my all-time favs, 2-hit kill at any range. The M16 and FAMAS are potential "one shot" kills, the SCAR-H and TAR-21 are easily among the best as well. M4A1 is solid along with the ACR. And the AUG LMG was crazy good as well. So many solid choices.

I played 175 hours of MW2 and I never settled on a "best gun". They were all good. The UMP-45 was extremely good for a sub machine gun, this is true... but give me a SCAR or TAR with Stopping Power and I'm not afraid of any UMP-45's.

Really MW2 was all about getting the jump on your opponent, whoever shoots first wins. All the guns were capable, with a couple exceptions (I thought the L86 LMG and Desert Eagle were the only two "unusable" weapons).

I was going to buy this game on pre-order but I just saw the price: €59.99!

Wow! I honestly cannot bring myself to pay 60 quid for it, that is insane. I left WAW until it was a tenner (and it was well worth it) so guess I'll do the same here. Sounds like a bit of a rip-off on the back of the last COD game despite it being a different developer.

i'm going to have to say "get used to it." I think $59.99 is becoming the standard for pc games

$60 for hours of entertainment is chump change for those with full-time jobs. Back in college I would spend 30-40 for a night out, which accounted for a few hours of fun. Looking back it was a terrible way of spending money.

Donkey Kong 2 for SNES was $59.99 some 14-15 years ago. With inflation, games are actually CHEAPER now than before.

I remember paying that much for games back in the 80's........

Coca-Cola should only cost a dime like it did back in 1910 damnit!

But if you want to argue that the QUALITY of the game is not worth $60 then I'm all ears. I just think this sacred $50 PC game price tag is funny. Inflation, it happens.

Anyone that purchases/pre orders this game for THAT much is basically asking Activision to continue to sell for $60-70.

Personally I think this game should've been a NEW engine and DX11...

so if 99% of the world likes something. it still can suck.. interesting..

so what we are bascially saying is that nothing can ever be good.

I find that MOST over hyped things that sell well and are VERY popular are a result of a marketing campaign more so than the actual "greatness" of the product.

Just because Toyota sells well, doesn't mean they are the best cars...FAR FAR from it.

Apple is another great example, everyone and their mother has it....but at the end of the day I like my freedom, let's face it Apple is in business of limiting freedom of their consumer.

Was Modern warfare 2 the best game EVER?

NO, far from it.

Sale #s do not = great

if i don't like something i'm not going to buy/use it just because it's popular.
that makes no sense whatsoever and you'd have to be a moron if you did.

Nothing is ever going to be perfect and even then there is a lot of room in the opinion dept. and in the end, it's the opinion of the individual that matters.

G18s are ridiculous because you can hit people from a far distance with them. They'd be fine if they were short-range.

203s are bullshit. They make games like domination awful. I think that forcing people to be stationary when they shoot them would help somewhat.

A good assault rifle like the SCAR-H is still better than either of those, since it's good at all ranges.

You totally missed my point

So another game with another shitty 5 hour single player campaign with multi player that is barely changed. yes, this deserves to sell well
