Then leave the thread already! Any further posts will only prove you are trolling and I will report them.

What? You're going to complain that someone disagrees with you. LOL!

If you want to complain about someone, complain about RavenSEAL. All he does is insult people and call them names.

Not cause he disagrees, but because he is spamming this thread with trolling, just like every other thread he enters.

He's not the one who is insulting people. Spamming? He's not even the one who has posted the most in this thread.

Exactly. And I'm pretty sure I have reported RavenSEAL previously. Dude would argue with himself.

If you don't like zerocool84's posts go to your user control panel and put him on your ignore list. I don't think he said anything that offensive in this thread.

Because it's hard to hit a moving target, especially 1 shot at a time and when you have to reload in between. It's easier to hit someone laying down a spray of bullets.

I just think that the RPD and UMP are indicative of the balancing issues that are ... lacking in MW2. There's no way either one of those guns should be as accurate as they are. They give their users a tremendous advantage over most other guns in the game. The RPD is a 3-shot kill, and is as accurate as ANY other gun in the game. At close range, it spews out bullets faster than most other guns meaning that you can win a long-range confrontation and close-range ones with relative ease.

LMGs are supposed to lay down suppressive fire, not go toe-to-toe with long-range weapons.

Look, I like the multiplayer in MW2. It's mindless fun. It could also be a million times better and, while I don't expect it be a combat simulator, I think little things like introducing more balance is good for everyone.

If we're going to talk balance and reality, i'm going to say sniper rifles in this game are way too accurate. i see people running and gunning with the Barrett. they'll be running along and just pop up their scope and fire and kill. I've even seen people jump, scope, and kill with it.

The Barrett is an extremely long and heavy gun. I saw a show about it once and the guys hosting the show (all ex-military who used it in combat) said that the only way to use this thing is prone or supported on something. You aren't going to fire it while standing up and certainly not while running or jumping.

As for suppressive fire, that isn't going to work in a videogame because you just respawn. no one cares unless it's like in some sort of competition. And even then, i've found that the LMGs in most games you can run right towards someone shooting a LMG at you and you'd barely get hit.

I've played MW2 and BF2 where I'd have an LMG, shoot first at a guy right in front of me at full auto and still get killed by him.

Fair. I'm not contending or suggesting that MW2 should strive for realism... I just think that the game has some serious balancing issues. High damage, high rate of fire weapons should be less accurate. Sub machine guns shouldn't be one of the most accurate guns in the game.

Obviously, that isn't realistic. At the distances that people fight in MW2, most rifles and SMGs are MORE than accurate enough. I'm just saying that for the sake of the game, it should be different.

The 203 is another good example of a completely imbalanced weapon. Though not very realistic, MW2 should have required people to remain stationary when shooting a 203 round.

Again, I'm not saying the game should strive for realism. It should strive for a better balance and mix of weapons. Remember, I also enjoy MP MW2 (at least when there aren't cheaters).

There are enough viable weapons in MW2 that I'd consider it reasonably balanced. Yes there are some garbage weapons but imo it's not essential for every weapon in the game to be equally good, as long as everybody's not using the same 1-2 guns.

I don't think the m203 is OP at all. It's only good at medium range, while the better assault rifles are good at all ranges. Even then it's only good in certain situations, like if someone's standing next a wall. If they're out in the open I'd much rather use a regular assault rifle than nade launcher.

The fact that the guns are so powerful and accurate is just COD's style. If they weren't it would be a slower paced game.

I prefer games where it only takes a few hits to kill someone instead of being able to unload whole clips into them and still have them live. It's more realistic and fun imo (even if other things aren't as realistic).

That's why I picked MW2 over BC2. BC2 was frustrating as hell to kill anyone.

Play HQ with tubers and you will rethink the m203 bit. I mean actually play the objective and not camp like a noob.

Akimbo g18s are more powerful than at least 3 assault rifles. Mp45 is more powerful than any auto.

akimbo 1887's before the fix was probably the only fun i had playing MW2 online. that was such poor balancing, it puts nade launchers to shame.

By your reasoning, the knife is more powerful than any gun so it must be unbalanced.

OMG I will bow out now, but before I leave you can tell what the unbalanced weapons are because they will be the most popular.

G18s are ridiculous because you can hit people from a far distance with them. They'd be fine if they were short-range.

203s are bullshit. They make games like domination awful. I think that forcing people to be stationary when they shoot them would help somewhat.

Aside from shotguns, all other weapons can hit anyone at any distance. Doesn't make them unbalanced or "ridiculous".

Why do people continue to buy the same shit over and over again?

Because it's usually better than the other shit. It might not be cool or trendy among the aloof anti-establishment crowd, but it works.

And missions like Cliffhanger are better than most of the stuff produced by practically anyone.
