For anybody wondering they easily got to 24,000+ likes in 2 days(maybe a little more than that) and they released new screen shots and will be releasing more information soon.

Looks so amazing if you ask me.

Don't want to sound like a Debby Downer but I think games on the PS3 have better graphics. Now if I were to see these shots back in 2005...yeah.

I don't care if the graphics look amazing, as long as they look about as good as HL2, thats fine with me. Just stop adding new crap and wrap up what you have already!

It'll be fun to play through an updated HL1, but my god it's been so long. This project wasn't announced that long after HL2 came out. By the time they get it released, the Source engine is going to be outdated! That'll defeat the whole purpose.

Didn't the Orange Box come with a HL source version?

There was Half-Life: Source, but it was only HL ported into the Source engine. They didn't revamp the textures or models so it looks like HL1.

It's going to get released, of this I am 99% sure.

You are dumb if you think otherwise.

Not like this. This is a complete rebuild of HL1 in the source engine. HL Source was just copy+pasting the same game into a new engine, which only changed the lighting and water. Was a piss poor job and fans weren't happy... we expected an actual updated game the way it was advertised.

And also, I'm pretty sure it came out with HL2. Orange box was down the road. It was included in the Orange box, but that's not when it was released.

It has been close to done for at least 5 years, yet it never gets released. The project management on this project sucks and that is why I doubt it will ever be released.

I have never played Half Life. I cannot sit around and do it. I kinda want this to come out just so I can play it and move onto HL2.

played HL2 a while ago, and never played HL1. A few months ago i wanted to re-play HL2, but decided that id play HL1 for the first time before replaying 2.

I tried to get through it, but its just too aged for me. Im sure if i played it at the time it was released, i would have enjoyed it, and i would enjoy going back and playing it, but its just too crappy looking, and there are just some parts in the game that made me want to shoot myself. I would get stuck at a save where i would have close to no health, and those stupid crabs would instantly attack me. Ended up using god mode a few times, which is what i didnt want to do.

If they ever release this, then ill end up playing. Until then im out. No big deal, theres a ton of good games i still have yet to play.

They did but it doesn't look much better than before.

http://store.steampowered.com/app/280

Im wondering why they even bothered. The game looks almost EXACTLY the same.

One screenshot doesn't tell the whole story.

One day BM:S will release. Until that day, I will keep it out of my mind.
They are talking about Half Life: Source, the official Valve port, that is what the screenshot is taken from.
