Google translate doesn't seem to work that good on my end. I get readable english without any images and no comments from those who read the article. ???

The coding kinda looks interesting to me but without any knowledge of coding I'm ??? Looking at the example to me it looks like it'll take alot less code to do the same thing....This is what it's saying?

Hmm— try manually doing it. For some reason when I click the link it seems to break as you've described. Although, if you click on the broken image, it still pops up the higher resolution version so I'm not sure what the problem is.

So we are gonna know more tomorrow? A totaly new architecture has got me really excited. Looks like it might be as big a change as R580 to R600.

Tried and still couldn't see the comments....What I wound up doing was went to original page in French highlighted a comment I wanted to read >>> Right click >>> Moved cursor over " Translate with Bing " and read them in the popup preview window.

The photos of the code look pretty interesting to me....Even tho I have no idea what they mean 🙂

my guess is this will probably be used in whatever comes after hd7xxx. southern island will probably just execute the original plan of new uncore and vliw4 cores at 28nm. once they work out all the issues with 28nm and have a full 7xxx lineup out, this new ACE stuff will come out.

most of the comments look like standard fanboi awe or dismissing.

AMD Reaffirms Plans to Introduce Next-Generation Radeon Graphics Later This Year.
http://www.xbitlabs.com/news/graphi...neration_Radeon_Graphics_Later_This_Year.html

"In a couple of days you are going to hear about our exciting new graphics architecture that will be coming out later this year and will be utilized by our future APUs," said Rick Bergman, senior vice president and general manager of AMD products group.

some more news on the subject and it looks to be a whole new design on 28nm!

"That was the News. Stay tuned for more News!"

I feel the same way.... someone lit a fire under their arses, there doing so much at once currently (compaired to before).

new cpu arch.
Apus with that new cpu arch + 69xx gen gpu arch.
28nm gpu's with a completly new gpu arch.

"Trinity" with 50% more GPU performance than "Llano"..... Bulldozer, that we still havnt seen yet >_<' , and a 28nm GPUs that are supposed to be out months before Nvidia's.

I think its a good sign, theyve gone up a gear notch.

Realistically, we're probably looking at end-Q1, 2013 and then Q2 before they are available in quantity and not gouged prices. *sigh* My GTX470 will just have to last until then. I almost pulled the trigger on a 6950CF setup yesterday but decided to wait on the next-gen cards.

That is all. No fanboi gushing or troll bashing from me. Not in this thread, anyway. 😉

AMD did a pretty good job getting the 6000 series out in volume so there was no price gouging this time around. So while I doubt the full 7000 series will be out by the end of 2011I do expect the 7900 series cards to be out by holiday season.

yeah stock was really good on 6000, of course, it was a month late or so:hmm:

I watched the event with the CTO and it felt like I was watching nVidia with Fermi in a lot of ways, from a compute point-of-view.

6000 series was released when the process was a lot more mature. The yields were probably quite a bit better, resulting in more parts for the launch. 7000 series will probably be in short supply; the process is new, and they should be a good step up from the previous generation, driving the demand a lot higher.

I don't even remember but I have at home... 6850? Got it in January, barely "used" it. Looks like I'll be good for a few more years if Microsoft and Sony don't release any new consoles.

2012?

Whoops, my bad. I meant 2012. Good catch, Skurge. By 2013 I want my HD9900 with 8GB GPU memory and it only uses 42 watts and costs under $350. 😀

AMD have SAID it will be out in 2011 ... the new 7000 series cards WILL be out this year.. when who knows! will it be a paper launch .. who knows but they want it 2011, and they had working chips end of last year... 🙂 i think they can do it.

I just read something i thought i should share. I'ts an interview with Ruben Sorya, manager of AIB partner relations at AMD Canada (formerly CO at ATI) and he gave some points about AMD's next gen graphics cards.
summarized and translated from Hebrew:

1) "Next gen graphics is scheduled for release in Q1 2012, don't call it 'HD7000' because it may not be the final name."

2) "Next gen will release high-end first, with surprising new 'features'."

3) "AMD will get more involved with game developers as it was with Dirt3."

4) "Hybrid-Crossfire (or 'Dual Graphics' as i call it) will get a strong push with A series APUs."

5) "We have no intention on blocking Lucid Virtu, or anyone for that matter, in our drivers." (sounds like a jab to me 😉 )

6) "AMD will continue to work with both GloFo and TSMC. as it seems right now, next gen Radeons will be produced at TSMC."

we knew most of it still its better than not knowing anything at all...
