I've been going out with this great girl for two and a half months, and her birthday is coming up next week and I have no idea what to get her other then flowers.

Anyone have any ideas on what to get her?

30-40$ for the present.

I'm gonna take her out to supper and then were gonna head off to a bar.

Tough situation, can't be too nice or you'll be stuck trying to improve upon it later. But, too crappy and there might not be a later. :p

How about a lets make a deal B-day. Buy the teddy bear and something else. Give her the teddy bear and then tell her she can keep it or pick what's behind door #1. It could get interesting if you play your cards right.

OK...I've got a joke about this very topic.

3 guys in a bar...
A doctor, a lawyer and a hillbilly mechanic (I can say hillbilly, my whole family is nothing but hillbillies.:D)
They're discussing what they're going to give thier wives on their respective birthdays.

The Doctor says "I'm going to buy my wife a red Mercedes and a blue Mercedes...that way, if she doesn't like one color, she can take it back and keep the other."

The Lawyer then pipes up and says "I'm kinda doing the same thing...I'm buying my wife a mink coat and a fox coat. If she doesn't like the mink, she can take it back and keep the fox."

Then they turn to look at the hillbilly, who is standing at the corner of the bar staring into his drink, not saying a word.

Finally, the Lawyer's curiosity get's the best of him and he asks "So...how about you, Clem? What are you gonna get for your wife on her birthday?"

Clem leans back and stares thoughtfully up at the ceiling and says:

"Well, I reckon I'm gonna buy her a hairdryer, and, a dildo.....

cause if she don't like the hairdryer,
she can go f@ck herself."

:D

I got my girlfriend a Sony P30 digicam with a HP P100 printer and all the goodies to go along with it. We'd been together 7 months at the time. I don't know if you're up for spending $475 though.

A teddy bear? I dunno...

Maybe flowers a teddy bear and some chocolates?

It's for her 20th birthday if that helps anything.

Thanks for the replies, much appreciated.

I'v gone through the same stuff with my girlfriend. I was amazed at what she actually WANTS to get. Things like name brand body washes and perfumes work wonders. They go gaga for all that crap. Try Ralph Lauren's "Ralph" stuff. It comes in all different kind of creams and soaps.

I'll recomend the teddy bear thing too. Girls tend to love things to squeeze; I don't know any that don't have a ton of them. If you have a "build-a-bear" place nearby, check that out. She like it even more if you pick it out and make it specially for her. You might even want to take her along to do it, or maybe not.

Rallispec's idea wasn't half bad, not good either... not the best idea to get a girl you don't know TOO well something from Tiffany's, it could be totally off. Flowers are awesome. Girls LOVE flowers!!! Do something individualistic, not generic, something she will remember you by. Even if it means drawing a picture in her card, or decorating her car early morning. Goodluck!!!

I think that if in the 2 1/2 months you've known this girl, if you don't know enough about her to get her a good birthday gift you really don't know much about her and should probably do that for her birthday. :)
