I guess 5 days is a long time to wait... I'll be worried too if I was in your situation.

That's what they're there for.

And I've always heard you should wait.

You got that right lol. I think 5 days was enough time to get through her system. I didn't go in her and were talking about a heavy chlorinated spa here.

That is NOT how birth control works.

You have to wait 1 full cycle, because she may have still released an egg.

She should have started it the first Sunday after her period. Why did she start it 5 days prior?
Cause she doesn't have the first sweet f---ing clue what she's doing.

She followed the directions perfectly. She started the first pill the day she got her period. It was what her doctor told her to do. She has a morning after pill laying around, think I should just have her take that to be safe? Will it mess up the regular pill she is taking though? Also, I know precum can get a girl pregnant, but I just dont see how it would survive in the conditions we were in.

Nevermind then, all she told me is that the doctor gave her the strongest pill available.

why are you worrying again? Yes, yes, I know all about the pre-c, but if you didn't finish the job in the house, then you don't have to worry about anyone coming back out of the house...or something like that..

BS. trust me, that is BS, early retirement is an extremely unsafe method.

Catholics have been relying on the "pull and pray" method for centuries. It's worked out well for them.

Shouldn't that be called "pull and spray"?

;)

Honestly, I'd recommend practicing abstinence until you're pored over some material on the issue. Didn't you have health class where you went to school? Keep up what you're doing now and you may end up with one of these.

"Strongest pill available"?!?!?! :roll:As in, extra extra fast-acting protection? Are we talking about something she bought on The Home Shopping Network or the pill here? Do you have any idea how BC and the pill works??

Obviously not if you're confusing Norplant (a small hormone capsule implanted in her body for years) and DepoProvera (a shot she gets from a syringe once every 6 months) with the pill it seems your ex should be taking everyday. Do yourself a favor and read more about how not to have kids before you become another daddy, doofus.

My girlfriend and I have always waited a month before having unprotected sex after she starts the pill. I believe it is something her doctor has told her. It is possible that it is a better safe than sorry type remark from the doctor, but I am fine with that. No need for some junior Pricklies running around.

My g/f is on Ovcon. She started the Sunday after her period. BC pills work like this .. 3 weeks of actual pills and 1 week of fake ones. It keeps the cycle regular. So, the only thing I can think of is that she started her fake pills the week of her period.

If she just finished up her period, there's not much to worry about, though.

Yah. Definately better safe than sorry. I wrap up even though my g/f is on BC. The world doesn't need any little JDubs running around either.

Yeah, really. It takes pills more than 5 days to work. Even so, you have to wait after the first month to make sure it works because not all pills work on all people. There is no such thing as the strongets birth control available.

You got it cheapgoose... one full cycle and they HIGHLY recommend using protection of a 2nd type during that first month.

you'd better hope for crop failure if you sowed your seeds last night.

oh and didn't health class teach you that there are usually *some* sperm swimmers found in pre-ejaculate?

IIRC you are supposed to wait for 1 month after she starts taking the pill for it to be effective.
