I'm conflicted. Cats and mockingbirds are a couple of my favorite things. While it's great watching cats hunt, I don't think I like watching them hunt mockingbirds.
I love it when my dog catches a cat,Same as the video but more blood.
Alot more noise too.
Somehow I think this was the mockingbird's fault, not the cat's.
Sure, but the cat was near the birds nest. The mockingbird wasn't just fucking with the cat for the lawls. That's a big reason I like mockingbirds. Aside from their incredible song repertoire, they're absolutely fearless defending the nest. Quite UNLIKE that filthy scavenger shown above. They're terrified of everything, and steal more food than they hunt. A disgraceful national bird :^S
Fucking retard cameraman should have stepped in and either shoo the cat away from the bird's nest or (if possible) save the bird once the cat had it in its mouth.
Poor bird.
Weird for the bird to keep attacking the cat. Was the cat after something in the bushes?
Sounds about right now that you mention it.
True story.yeah. bald eagles are worthless scavengers. The Golden is quite sublime.
But my favorite bird, and arguably the greatest hunter anywhere: the Peregrine falcon. that thing is so fucking badass.
True story.
I saw 2 English Sparrows harassing a Robin on my neighbour's lawn years ago.Do you live under a rock? A bird attacking a cat is not weird. Many species do exactly what that bird was doing to cats AND people. Mockingbirds are some of the worst offenders.
One of my secret, strange desires is to take up falconing as a hobby.

😱
I believe that the peregrine in its dive has been clocked as the fastest animal on the planet.

what's with the stupid sound effects? Ants don't make sounds when caught. That is my understanding as well, something like 150-200 mph in full dive mode. However, I recently learned the fastest muscle movement of any animal belongs to the trapjaw ant. It snaps its mandible from an 180 degree angle to shut at over 140 mph. I think it gets owned in this video however.

This (monster bug wars) is a great show BTW, just started season 2 on the Science Channel.
