this game is being given away with video card purchases right? Shouldnt that drive the price down to like $20 for the coupon, like it did with Borderlands 2, etc? Maybe I am wrong...

The coupon codes are generally going for $25-$30 on the FS/FT. Got mine for $25.

Coupons usually don't include the pre-order bonuses though, so if you want the extra in-game stuff or the Kindle ebook you'd miss those.

Correct. I got the game from the AMD bundle and activated it on Steam. You do not get the preorder bonuses, only way is via purchasing it from the place with the offer.

GameFly is currently doing a week-long sale, and Borderlands 2 will be on sale for $19.99 on Friday (3/22). It's currently $59.99 at Amazon, which makes it a worse deal even with the $30 off.

I don't need instant gratification. Amazon will have BL2 for $15-20 in the next few months.

Why does this game have such crazy pre-order deals?! Maybe they know it's a dud and are trying to ramp up sales to justify to their stakeholders.

I think it is because 2K isn't allowing the game to have any discount applied to the MSRP. Instead they are giving away free copies of games that cost them nothing while keeping the MSRP with no discount. Then the retailers do their own promo's on top of it to entice people to get it from them since they can't do a price war.

I enjoyed Bioshock. I have Bioshock 2 but never really got the chance to play it.

Is Bioshock 2 the same quality? If so, it could be fun to play Bioshock 2 and 3 back to back. (and get x-com as the pre-order bonus)

2 isn't as good as 1. From what I read the DLC for 2 is better than the actual game (Mireva's Den or something like that) and you can only get it on GFWL.

Ah ok. In that case I'll probably just sit and wait for the reviews. X-com will be budget priced soon anyway, and the new Bioshock will probably be 50% off by the end of the year
