Weird huh, leading off with a chain of insults before anyone has even commented on the the story he posts. He's got to be the biggest straw man machine, not to mention self-righteous blowhard on ATP&N. He's got a bug up his ass because he can't handle that people don't agree with him 100% of the time. Just ignore him.

I've been around long enough that he doesn't bother me at all.

Killing government officials with bioweapons? Sounds like some serious terrorism there.....I fully expect everyone to support their transfer to Gitmo and that they be locked up forever without a trial, and we probably need to torture them as well, just to make sure they aren't missing anyone else in the plot. After all, that is what we do to terrorists, right? You aren't going to treat these guys differently are you?

Absolutely. These scumbags should be on the next flight down to Guantanamo. Using biological weapons to affect political changes? Definition of terrorism.

m: 1999 self hate post!
AT: /Facepalm

We're just missing Craig to make this thread complete.

Look, you stupid asshole, I did my part. I can't control Craig. And don't do that signing your posts with /Facepalm, I get so upset when you show self contempt. I keep telling you you hate yourself not so you can do more of it or prove it, but so you can change it. I'm trying to save you from your idiocy, not have you prove it as your core reality.

I guess what's her face was right about keeping an eye on domestic extremists, and Republicans, as usual, were wrong.

White man who is a US citizen, threatens the US gubnament; it's done in the name of patriotism.

Brown man threatens the US gubnament; it's terrorism.

Brown man who is a US citizen, threatens the US gubnament and is executed; that thar brown fellar in tha whiate house is abusing his powar.

And, in regards to the Norway psycho, once they found out he was white, they tried to label the victims as Nazi youth of sorts. Yes, Nazi youth that wanted diversity in their society.

//eyeroll

That must be a really big deck of race cards you have there.

The only ones claiming this was done for patriotism are the kooks who were arrested. I assume you are talking about al-Awlaki referring to the brown man threatening the government. We were one failed underwear bomb away from a downed airliner... yes that is terrorism. The right wing kooks did not even have ricin... they were just figuring out how to actually make some. And the criticisms against obama for allowing al-Awlaki to be killed by a drone strike are not because of his skin color. People actually called obama out on it because of the hypocracy from obama's own words and other liberals attacking previous administrations for the same thing.

But I suppose calling everything under the sun racist is actually a lot easier than constructing a valid argument.

Not sure what the Norway psycho has to do with this thread.

And to head you off I am calling you a racist if you smack talk my response... because well that would be racist... just because.

You know the mentality of the partisan left -

Unless you devote every breath you take to saying these guys are not patriots, it means you are in full support of their patriotism :p

Just to nitpick...

Wouldn't ricin be a chemical weapon?

I would think bio-terror would be using something like ebola or smallpox.

You are correct. It would also be more likely that they would have ended up killing themselves with the ricin than actually being able to do damage with it.
I'm happy they were stopped though.

Typical leftist, glad the terrorists didn't kill themselves.

It's good to see that folk are starting to notice that idiots who want to kill thousands of people with biological agents don't like themselves very much. It's takes real brain power, in my opinion, to realize that folk who like themselves also like others and don't want to kill them. Pretty soon, I'm sure, we will see folk who notice themselves to be full of anger, rage, and hate will be fleeing to the Psych's couch for some relief instead of reaching for a ricin bomb.

Lock em up

Court documents state that 73-year-old Frederick Thomas, a suspected member of the group
...
The four listed in the indictment are Thomas; Dan Roberts, 67; Ray Adams, 65; and Samuel Crump, 68.

Retirees plotting to make Ricin... odd story to say the least.

LOL at only Fox making this their banner article on their home page BTW.
To be fair, NPR and Reuters do not have it on their front page (although I did not check the news earlier today), did not notice it on the radio (NPR) either.

What do you mean 'Wut?'

You clearly said that the they would have most likely have killed themselves and are glad they were stopped. Now what did you expect me to do, say nothing and allow one of our resident nut cases to attack you as the leftest bleeding heart liberal you obviously must be to them, or allow me to show you that one of your fellow progressives can anticipate and demonstrate, better than the insane we have collected so far in this thread, the titanic stupidity with which they think? I'm not miles ahead of them and know better than they do the fallacious manner in which they think for no reason. I can easily anticipate every move those poor self hating bastards can make because I know all about what it means to hate oneself and the incredible delusions it causes to ones thinking.

Must be tough getting through life when you can't even understand the fundamental differences between what happened in Yemen versus this case.

Both US Citizens right? Constitutional rights apply to both. Not hard to understand. Unless you can show something in US Law differently?

Go talk to your obummer about that.

Not mine. But guess you need to throw in a troll comment right away.

Hmm, this story is being reported as terrorism, and they are arrested and charged with trying to commit acts of terror. Who said it isn't terrorism?

Is it really that hard to understand the difference between someone being part of an organization that believes in terror to further it's goals (ie, a terrorist organization) versus someone who goes off by themselves and does something?

Read the threads here.....if you are white and do something, it isn't a big deal and called " isolated" or "crazy guy".

If a Muslim name is in the news article, theatrics ensue, where people don't care about proof, people want Miranda rights taken away, or have them tortured, or locked up forever, etc, etc, etc.

The Iranian used-car salesman is already guilty without a trial, since so many people just accept the secret evidence that no one is allowed to see, and others claiming it an act of war. But with these North Georgia guys, it's "innocent until proven guilty" and "lets wait for the trial".

Most people didn't care that Padilla was locked up for years without trial either, he was a US citizen too. Or the separate assassinations of al-alaki and his 16year old son. No due process there either.

Certainly is an interesting double standard that a lot of people hold. Pick and choose when you want the law to be applied.

Compare the media coverage for these guys, or the guy that crashed his plane into the IRS building versus Padilla, al-alaki, or the used car salesman. You really can't see a difference in how people act and how the reporting sides one way or another? LOL

Except that you are artificially creating what you are seeing. And there isn't anything anyone here can say to make you understand that.

So instead, someone like myself just ignores your opinions :D
