Interesting...was this Chrome on Windows? Did you get a message that the browser was not supported?

Yep, Chrome for Windows, nope, no error message. Worked just fine out of the box.
Do you have Silverlight installed? Maybe it wants Silverlight, and in Chrome doesn't handle the error gracefully?
Are you using the silverlight version? That has some buttery smooth transitions (its especially cool to see the aerial to bird's eye view to streetview). Their regular map viewer has similar performance for me as google maps.
