No, I'm afraid you're mistaken... His goal is to end our way of life... One way to do that is to make people afraid to fly... A large chunk of our econemy runs though our airport system... There are not many targets he can hit that will do more damage than he has already done, not with standard weapons anyway. It would be easier to get Stinger missiles in the US than it would a nuclear weapon I'm thinking... And his odds of getting ahold of more airplanes is very low... I'm open to other ideas however...

I guess I should have made it clear in my post that his objective is massive loss of
American life. I do not believe he cares about making people afraid to fly,he has already unwittinglly done that. What I think he really wants is for the US to retalliate.
Osama bin Laden wants to go to war with us and he really believes he can win. Yes,he does want to bring our economy to its knees but that is not his main objective, its not even in the top five of his list of objectives i'm sure.
Its not about making people afraid to fly,its about bringing us down. He wants to bring us down economically, religiously, militarily, you name it he wants to hit us there.
He already has pockets of terrrorists in the statesthat are planning or have already planned attacks on us and are waiting patiently to carry them out. I highly doubt he will use airplanes and I doubt he ever planned to after the first wave of attacks. There is no need to as there are numerous other ways to carry them out,and many other ways are much more simple and require less planning and funding. I think the first attack was to get our attention, and now that he has it he does not need to go so big. He can stage small attacks, since what are we going to do anyway? He has no targets for us to go after. He is counting on that fact. They really have nothing to lose, including life itself.Small attacks are much easier to pull off. Large full scale attacks will not be so easy since the 11th of September. For Osama small attacks are the way to go.
Anyhow,i'm veering way off topic. All i'm sayng is that I do not think he will go after planes again. At least not jetliners, maybe cropdusters but definitely not jetliners. I hope he succeeds at nothing.
I think we need to go after the whole Afghanistan area. Its sad that there will be civilian life lost, but there were civilians in the World Trade Towers who had no choice to leave like many Afghans are now doing. They are fleeing Afghanistan. We did not have that choice. The Taliban must be taken down at any cost.
