Heck, even my 25 year old LeBaron convert would give his Focus the dustoff....

LOl u wish. Stock my focus does 0-60 in 8s. With the CAI it went down to 7.6s...cant wait to see what exhaust, tune and headers will do.

I didn't buy my car to race or whatever, I just bought it for something fun. But I'd gladly head down to the strip to race the OP. How much boost do you plan on running jlee?

For racing, as much as I safely can before I run out of fuel (probably ~17psi with the TD06, but I'm not sure on that). Daily driving probably 15psi..I am guessing in DD setup I'll be around 280rwhp and still pulling a 12 second quarter. I might just run a conservative pump gas tune and daily/race the same setup, 310-320rwhp range. I'm not entirely sure yet - there is still research to be done. :)

Good luck with headers, considering you can't use two.

I will pay your track fee to race me. Take a road trip up to Epping NH - name the date. I'll use a vacation day if I have to. ;)

Are you gonna arrest me if I win? :\

Somehow I have a feeling that, even if we lived in Miami, he'd puss out. :(

It's ok jlee, we know the truth, we don't have to run him :p

14 second car vs. 12 second cars... Who will win I wonder?

BTW: Jlee, there was a bit of a mixup back home with some of the shipping when I left for China, your stuff will be sent Monday. Sorry for the delay.

Hell, i want in on this..

Ive got a 2.0L too. I'll be back in Daytona FL in a few months; we can meet halfway.

Edit: Where did you come up with 8s 0-60? C&D says 8.0 with a manual.. and higher with the auto

Since you are a Ford dude, buy some 93-94 Cobra and just boost it to hell. Not going to win any car shows, but it's better than a late model Focus. You can steal these cars today.

2.2 turbo Dodges are not cars to be messed with really.. They are really cheap, and really easy make fast.. My ex had a 08 Focus.. Terrible pile of a car.

I'm seriously considering buying a Subaru Forester XT...I'll race with that instead of the MR2, if the OP prefers.. ;)

There is no way you reduce your 0-60 by 1 second with 10hp. My BMW 120 diesel will dust this Focus, even if it did do 0-60 in 7.6s... The 120d does it in 7.2s :awe:

Just wait till I boost my Focus. You all will see I will show you all. And gladly beat you all including bimmers at the track.

I've just placed my order for the exhaust, race headers and tune...BOO-YAH!

You do realize that your header is useless if you plan on turbocharging the car, right?

You're either a troll or a moron - there is no question.

Uh, according to FSWERKS, race headers add 8-10HP based on their dyno tests. It helps even without a turbo. Also makes it sound a lot better.

Do you have any idea how a turbocharger is fitted to an engine?

Yes, it uses exhaust gases to spin the turbo which in turn translates that spin into more air for the engine.

I asked if you knew how it's fitted, not how it works.

Think about that, and see if you can tell me what the problem is with a header and a turbocharger.

Yes, the turbo is attached to the engine by pulleys which put more air into the engine. The header is attached to the turbo.
