There is a story about to be run on the show about how anyone, fan or not, who mentions the name of "Keith Olberman" will be disconnected and reported to the local police. O'Reilly recently got replaced in Georgia with Keith's sports show on the radio. O'Reilly is going nuts with what he claims are mis-quotes and unprofessionalism towards him.

All I have to say is...it's about time someone takes on this outrageous man's tirades.

O'Reilly has been going nutty because Olbermann keeps pointing out every time he screws up. On his radio show, O'Reilly cut off a caller who mentioned Olbermann before he could finish his sentence. O'Reilly then claimed he will turn over the caller's number to the local police, which he can't actually do. But he apparently had Fox security call the person back.

Perhaps this is all Olberman can do because he belongs to MSNBC which is the lowest rated cable news network... period.

Olbermann is just correcting O'Reilly. It's O'Reilly who is going nuts over it.

Well, Keith Olberman on MSNBC has started an informal campaign to point out the NUMEROUS hypocricies and sheer stupidity of Bill O'Reilly. Some of these actions include his sexual harassment case, Bill condoning San Diego to be attacked by Al Qaeda, berrating and verbally insulting his guests, etc. (mind you, there are mp3s out of all the aforementioned incidents including ones I haven't named). Bill has been attacking Keith for low ratings and "unprofessionalism" and Keith has retorted with how Countdown's ratings are up 23% and O'Reilly's are down 9%, or how the leading ratings article said "MSNBC is in and all the other networks are out" (due to immproved ratings and target audience), or how Bill constantly personally insults his guests and other people.... you know the usual stuff from Bill. Anyway, Bill cutoff a caller and threated to call the local police and have them "deal with it" (the caller). This smacks of unethical behavoir because Bill doesn't realize he cannot commandere the local police just to have them see some guy who mentions Keith's name on a show that openly solicits callers into his show.

He can't? :D

It seems rather idiotic to even consider that as a threat. I think O'reilly isn't slowly imploding, he's imploded.

well, not legally. the sad thing is that his audience buys it hook, line, and sinker.

I used to love bill o'reilly. when his show first came out, and for a good three years or so ... he was the best around.

but by the fourth year, he started thinking he was a 'know it all' and by the fifth, he was so in love with himself that is was hard to watch.

now, he is so smug and thinks he is unstoppable. i cannot watch his show anymore.

Bill O'Reilly has never been the best around. He appeals to the lowest common denominator, so he has good ratings.

You are entitles to your opinion... and that might be the case now, but in the beginning ... around 1996... his show was great. he has stuff on that was not reported in most other outlets, he was not afraid to stop ppl from bullshyting, and he seemed to be a decent guy.

that is certainly not the case anymore, though.

no he has good ratings because he has or at least on tv he has convictions. he believes that some things are right or wrong no matter the situation, and he believes justice must be served. for example, some people would say having sex with a fourteen-year-old is okay in some cases, like if the child initiated it or it was consensual. bill will come on and say no, it's simply wrong and nothing can change that. you may respect that or not, but the fact is not many tv personalities will aggressively stand up for what they believe in, and so, being bold and unique, he will probably stay on the air for awhile.

If you think other TV personalities don't have strong convictions, you're delusional. They may not have the same convictions as you, but they have convictions.
