And how are you supposed to know that they pretty much went into it knowing what would happen and then regretted it later or became bitter or decided that they had a political bone to pick?
That's possible, sure. But it's literally unprecedented. There has never, in the history of time, been 15+ people who have come out and accused a celebrity of rape, brought a civil suit against that celebrity and been paid off by that celebrity to dismiss the charges without having to go to court. That happened to Cosby in 2004. And now there are even more alleged victims coming forward, all with identical stories about being drugged. So, yes, you can suppose that it might be a jilted ex-lover or someone who regretted their actions 40+ years ago. But if there was really this cabal of women just waiting in the wings to accuse celebrities of crimes they'd never committed, why have we NEVER seen this volume of identical rape complaints for a celebrity before? It seems incredibly unlikely that a completely random cross-section of women with absolutely no financial gain at stake would all decide to accuse a celebrity who hasn't done anything of note in 20 years of drugging and raping them decades ago for... I actually have no idea what motivation you'd insert here for them. You're right, we don't know the truth, but for someone who knows just as much as the rest of us, you're defending him awfully hard and with logic no better than "there's a war on men" (which is an absurd claim and not worthy of rebuttal, frankly).
18 women make identical claims? They're all liars who knew what was coming. One man refuses to answer the allegations and tries to buy silence? He seems like a stand up guy, better give him the benefit of the doubt.
