<< I don't doubt that.... but you're gonna kill yourself (as you suggest) if you are indeed hitting those speeds on the 'streets'. >>

Well, i feel the need, (you may finish the sentence, as you are a fellow rider, i know you feel it too sometimes)

And i probably will drive my bike too fast one day, i did that once as i mentioned, the bike was trash, but if i am ever to witness divine intervention, this was it... a bruise on the knee, believe it or not...

Small curved roads, the handle all the way down, the back wheel slipping, the adrenaling pumping, usually it all works out, i come out of the curve as fast as i went in, but once, that back wheel did not slip, it jumped, like 2 feet right up, and whammabammabooooom... Hey, wakey... are you alive... Well, i am a little sore on my knee but otherwise i am just fine...

<< BTW I thought aerodynamics have a major impact on top speed of a motorbike, something like near 190mph >>

You thought wrong... check out the racing circle and not to mention the drag bikes...

Patrick

they huyabusi is the fastest but my friend just got the one under it and its better. but it all depends on the idiot driving the donor mobile. wipe out at 200MPH and im sure you wont be coming back here telling us about it

<< well, as a fellow rider, I will call you on it. I still think you're full of it >>

And i will still fight for your right to think so, but your are wrong... Do we have to go on...

<< The need to rob a bank to afford the $150,000 price tag. >>

No, the need for speed... The price was pretty high, but you have to spend some money on yourself from time to time...

Seems i spend too much money on my ex wifes and not enough on me and my two kids... Oh, BTW, my children will never ever be allowed to drive MC's.. it is bad for your health, believe me, i know...

you crashed at 140+ mph straight in the woods and all you got was a scratch on your knee? Do they have mattresses around the trees where you live? If it's true, you're one lucky guy...

yeah right..you crashed at those speeds and only a knee boo boo? come on now...what were you wearing?
My friend works at Motorcycle.com and tests bikes and he crashed at less than your speeds and his aerostitch suit almost bit the dust!

<< Holy Crap

Chevy 350 engines in those things!
>>

Yea, those things are cool! I saw one parked outside of a bar once, musta stood there and eyeballed it for a good 5 minutes.

Tough call to say "fastest" when you're talking about modified bikes--and I guess you're also just talking about overall top-speed.

I read awhile back, several years, that someone with a Turbo ZX-11, which was the fastest at the time---pre-CBR/Hayabusa, had hit a top speed around 220ish...BUT the wind resistance overcame the rolling friction of his tires and he began to spin the back tire...

So, unless you make some major improvements to any motorcycles aerodynamics...you're not gonna see 240.

But hey, a turbo CBR-1000XX is gonna be fast as hell anyway...

I was walking around in downtown Minneapolis a few weeks ago when two of those Boss Hosses drove by. HOLY SHNIKEYS! I was between a couple of tall buildings, and the vibrations from those bad boys (Chevy 350 with straight pipes :Q) were shaking the whole damn block. Damn, those things looks cool. 😀

<< Actually on a road in sweden streching from Halmstad to Mellbystrand, any swede will verify that that road is well known for it's long curves and straights... >>

Verified!

You must also have tried the straight with the ups and downs from Gothenburg to Jönköping? I once did 185mph in a car down there, can't imagine what it would be like on a bike!

/B

If its 140 mph..then u are full of BS...if its 140 km per hr...then maybe u would have a chance at only a knee bruise..

<< I once crashed a bike going 140+, straigh into the woods, i got a little bruise on my right knee... it didn't scare me one little bit... I guess i am just too stupid to be afraid...
>>

140mph? No, you would not be posting, ever.

140kph, I dunno, just a LITTLE bruise, from going 80MPH into woods?
I highly doubt that. Have you ever hit a tree at 80mph? I bet it would shatter your knee.
