Yeah, that GNX (has a 6cyl. with a fat stock turbo) was butt-fast. 0-60mph in 5.0s off the lot. Not sure of horsepower, but is probably around 350+ because that car is heaaaaavy.
Welp, I was about to give my input as well, The Spirit R/T has to be one of the biggest sleepers out there. Too bad they're not very popular. For those that don't know, Dodge was squeezing 224 Horses out of a 2.2L engine. A turbo-intercooled engine with a Lotus-Designed head, and it was faster than the Taurus SHO
Yeah alot of dealerships didn't push chryco's turbo cars, they claimed therre were reliability and expense issues to sell the more expensive V6, when in many cases the turbo 4 was arguably a much better engine! Anyway here is a link to the Spirit R/T specs. They're a pretty rare car too.....
Some black Ford Pinto with, lowered, with a spoiler on it that I see driving around here all the time. I have no idea what's under the hood, but from the way this guy has this crapmobile done up on the outside, it must be a blown 351ci Ford small block.
Well, it was for a Spanish project, we had a picture, and had to make up a story for it. Our picture had a fire or something, so of course I thought, "PINTO"
Not the full sized cars which started to go under the name of Crown Victoria. The much smaller LTD was based on the same platform and used most of the same drivetrain and suspension parts as Mustangs. With a few mods, they could be real fast. Even with the available 5.0 V8 they were pretty fast stock.
ragingbitch - everyone may know that the m5 is a butthauler, but most people cannot distinguish it from a normal everyday 528, so that makes it a sleeper
