GTA 4.
It really didnt grow on me, the color scheme was "washed out"
and i really didnt have as much fun playing it as say vice city.

I definitely didn't like GTA4 as much as I did Vice City and San Andreas because it was too serious for me but I still enjoyed it. Hopefully part five that comes out later this year brings back a lot of the fun that was part of the PS2 versions.

ff13 and dragon age 2 are the worst games Ive seen in my days.

Ive kind of given up on gaming since games these days just get worse and worse.

Only thing I play these days is old rpgs and rts.

I couldn't have said it better myself. Those two games were HUGE disappointments and I can't believe they did a sequel to FFXIII. I was so excited about FFXIII and .... ugh. Worst thing ever.

Borderlands was quite different from all the "Ultra-gritty-realistic war simulator" we were seeing at the time.

Especially considering such "new-fangled" tech as 4 player local split screen co-op play with drop-in/out ability that doesn't disrupt gameplay in a major way. It's funny that a game that appears so 1999 would be headed towards one of the biggest launches of 2012, huh?

Anything can be dismissed as a XYZ clone or pigeon-holed into a certain gametype but in essence this game is what every game should be, tons of fun to play with your friends and family. I played the first one for months with my wife, and it is the most must buy game for the next 18 months for us.

It looks like I'm probably the only one here that LOVED Resident Evil 5. No, it was not like RE1, but I guess I wasn't expecting it to be. What the game did excel at was being a FANTASTIC and balanced co-op game. I've gone over this before, but if I played RE5 in just single player mode, my overview of the game would be "meh." However, playing co-op with a friend is fun as hell, and I dare say THE most fun I've had in any game I can remember (and my gaming goes back to Atari 2600 days). For the people dissatisfied with RE5, download the side mission "Lost In Nightmares," and play it with a friend. For the people expecting survival horror, this should fit the bill. I actually liked "Desperate Escape" much better, but hey, most people here didn't like the core RE5 game.

As for disappointing games, my most recent disappointment came in the form of "Alice: Madness Returns." I LOVED the first Alice game on the PC, and the ONLY redeeming factor of the new Alice on the PS3 was that it came with the original Alice game. What a HORRIBLE sequel to a fresh and original game. Absolutely horrible. The game play was awful, the stages were awful, and worst of all, the music was awful. There were some parts in it were I felt like I was playing "Seaquest" from the Atari 2600. Horrible.

Halo- easy.. Huge PC game player and console player, FPS where not new on the PC side, so pc gamers had seen alot of inovation, and yes, alot of the same old, same old with a fresh paint of coat. The Hype machine that was HALO at a time when FPS where simply the most anticipated game out there was unreal.. it should have been pretty appearnt then the hype was exagerated. Bungie had made a GOOD Mac FPS, but when ported to the pc and compared to what the pc had was... sadly very underwhelming.. and most other games (bungie made) where so so (good but not great) Oni, Abuse. Quite honestly on the PC the MYTH series was the only better then good one (on the mac.. yes they where all some of the best games on that system).
So when Halo arrived and i heard Vehical combat (meh, been done, as well or better on PC already), 2 weapons.. wait a sec.. isnt that a step back? the same few coridors over an over an over and over..(get the picture?) To a seasoned FPS player on the PC.. nothing in was new, nothing in it was better then waht had came before it.. BUT much like the MAC, the Consoles didnt have anything But Golden EyE for a FPS that where good.. so taking a so- so game and putting it on the console paltform right when cosnoles where moving beyond nerd teritory.. was just luck, not good game design.
it wouldnt matter so much if they hadnt created the single worst game mechanic for wimping out game play, unlimted shielding/health... hide like a school girl and regen.. the make every bullet count, play like your life depends on it game mechanic DEAD.. halo killed it.

i dont hate halo.. i hate that everybody things its the best FPS.. when the people saying it never played a comptative match of Quake 2 (make halo multi plauyer lookk like pre school).. and worse.. oh so much worse is playing Halo on LIVE.. just cuz your 7 and learned a new cus word doenst mean i need to hear it over and over.. .... maybe its what HALO is assotiated with..

yes i preordered and bought the hype.. and ye it was my biggest disapointment.

Halo CE predated BF1942 and had plenty of vehicle fun in multiplayer. I loved it on PC...

And personally, it was NEVER hiding for me. Most maps, when played with enough people, were VERY full and there was NOWHERE to hide.

I'm going with Duke Nukem Forever as the biggest disappointment of all time. Waited over a decade, and when it finally released...complete garbage.
