Yeah, Wendy's is definitely better than either, but that wasn't the question.
Can you recommend a better burger from a fast food chain? I can't think of a better one than the Whopper. Not only is the grilled taste great, you can customize the toppings. I hold the ketchup, and add salt.
You can customize the toppings anywhere...

I can't stand BK. Pretty much everything they have sucks. Every few months the pain of my previous visit diminishes enough that I go back, and remember all over again how much I hate BK.

They offer great coupons.

Apples and oranges to me, I crave both.

But BK takes the edge if I'm stuck with 1. McD has better side items though (best fries there is, nuggets, mcflurries, breakfast items)

MCD fries have a very small window of goodness, then they quickly turn into cardboard. But during that brief 10 min window when come fresh from the hopper, they are the best fries in all of fast food land. Agreed that the Whopper would be my choice of the two, but only if BK would lay off the gd mayo. Why do they feel so inclined to put 1/2 cup of mayo on each Whopper...

When is the last time people here ate a Whopper? Was it back in the 1980s? That's the only explanation why people are choosing Whopper over Big Mac.

You add salt to burger that already has 911mg / 37% of the daily recommended sodium?

You must be a

Though neither rep the true taste of hamburger the whopper comes way closer. I don't eat burgers but once a year though and its usually on accident like some random ass bar b q that has nothing but burgers and dogs.

Who knows wtf they taste like by now.

I used to work at both places and preferred the flame broiled over the fried/pressed. Whopper had more "meat" and the grilled flavor was way better than the BM. I'd take a double western burger from Carl's over anything else though.
