Apples and oranges to me, I crave both.

But BK takes the edge if I'm stuck with 1. McD has better side items though (best fries there is, nuggets, mcflurries, breakfast items)

Can't remember the last time I ate either one. If forced or paid to eat one right now I'd pick the Whopper. But I sure as hell wouldn't buy one.

Yeah I don't get the whopper or the BigMac. But, I will eat a Mcdonalds cheeseburger a couple times a year, and that is clearly not even fit for a raccoon. In the end it's not about the taste, it's just whatever burger you ate as a kid that fills that chemical hole their food burns into your mind.

According to my card as a licensed vegetarian, I have to mention this whenever the topic of meat comes up or I can be reported for dereliction of duty.

So, now that that's out of the way. Back when I was was still an omnivore, Whoppers were the clear winner. There just wasn't any substitute for the grilled flavor. Of course now we know that grilling probably creates all sorts of mutagenic chemicals but whatever man, that sh** was still tasty.

Big Mac: 2/10 -- Edible, appears to contain food based substance for a significant portion of its bulk. Suggested use: Punishment for bad behavior
Whopper 0/10 -- Inedible, does not appear to contain any food based ingredients. Suggested use: Ice Hockey

Awww, in your sad little world am I supposed to apologize for liking good burgers and not eating garbage?
Can you recommend a better burger from a fast food chain? I can't think of a better one than the Whopper. Not only is the grilled taste great, you can customize the toppings. I hold the ketchup, and add salt.

This is not bad.

I haven't eaten at either this decade, but that's mostly because there's a Wendy's one block away from me.

For a good burger I go with a Wayback double with cheddar and an order of onion rings.

Oh my god you are my best ATOT friend.

Yes, as far as plain fast food chains go, you can't beat the Whopper. It's a proper big and flat burger. It has a sizable grilled patty that has a flame smell. And the toppings are a full-service medley (lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles). And mayo + ketchup = mmmmm.

There's a reason I worked there in HS and didn't get sick of it.

Wow surprised at the landslide. I personally like the Big Mac but need the Whopper to balance it once in a while. If I could live with only 1 for the rest of my life, it wouldn't be the Whopper because it lacks in taste in comparison. I feel like I could make that at home without effort.

That Carl's Jr. burger does look good. Anything with grilled onions would. Add grilled mushrooms and that's my burger above all else.
