Is this deal still valid?

"Buy XBL Starter Kit, receive $20 off one of the following titles: MechAssault ($30), Phantasy Star Online ($20), Ghost Recon ($40) - Best Buy - (BEGINS 06-01-03)"

If not, does anybody know of a good deal for getting the XBL Starter Kit?

Thanks in advance!

Can't even find PSO on Best Buy online. Is it really $20 before the rebate? If so I'm game... :)

Free shipping at Circuit City too...good deal! I'm not sure why circuit city customers don't like this game, Rayman 2 was great, IGN gave 3 a 8.4. I saw a video review on Extended Play as well, this looks like it should be a good game. Nice find!

Just picked it up today and also bought Morrowind for $19.99. Got both Halo and Morrowind for $51.15 after tax. Not too bad in my opinion! :D

Yup, I just got home with it and was seeing if someone else posted. Haven't opened it yet, but people say it's pretty decent..

I actually heard it wasn't that good cause the controls were pretty nasty and it was very hard. But still, if you have nothing else to play on your XBOX $7.50 is a small price to pay for some more game time.

I also heard that it was too hard and the controls are screwy, but on the other hand there are a lot of reviews that say it's an excellent game. I figured for $7.50 I'd give it a chance. You can barely rent a game for $7.50!

Gunvalkyrie was clearanced at Target before for around $7.50, then popped back up in price after it flew off shelves.

It is a GORGEOUS game (of course, since the wizards at Smilebit are the ones who created it) and is a worthy precursor to their next release, the majestic Panzer Dragoon Orta.

The controls for GV are hard to master, yes...but it is definitely worth $7.50.

Doh! Wish I had seen this before I just purchased it at circuitcity.com for $20 + tax. Well, at least shipping was free.

I actually just got into Gunvalkyrie, and I think it's great. Yes, the controls took me a couple of hours to get used to. And yes, I had to play the second level through five times before I finally beat it. But after that, I adapted to the play style and the game is actually a lot of fun. I would definitely pick up a copy for $20 or less...too bad there aren't any Targets around me.

I would say, if you're the type of person who gives up on a game if it doesn't grab you in the first five minutes, then avoid GV. But if you're interested in getting your money's worth, it's a good bet. Also, a lot of the aliens are bugs reminiscent of Starship Troopers, which I think is just plain cool. And it IS a GORGEOUS game, a good one for showing off to your friends.

Gunvalkyrie is a pretty nice game. The controller works fine for me, no worse than any FPS game, but as I used to PC gaming, keyboard + mouse is still the best combination in FPS games and most 3rd person games.

BTW, I hate EO mode, it's for people who don't know how to play fighting game.

Once you get down the control scheme nuances in GV, you become an untouchable god... you can literally buzz through the entire game with ease. There's a great sense of accomplishment once you beat the game, even with a total void when it comes to storyline.

Well, I must be GV-challenged, because I can't get down the control scheme for anything. I'm left-handed, and I suspect that has something to do with it.
